I got my physical copy arriving tomorrow. It’ll be sitting on the shelf with the rest of the 23 game FF collection I have. Believe it or not but I’ve only been playing FF since April 2023 and I’ve played 23 games and that includes all numbered FF games and their sequels. That includes the platinum trophy with every one of them. Currently on Heavensward of FF14.

Yes i want them to make it a series. The combat system of this game is one of my favourite. I finished it on apple arcade back in the days and will be playing it on my switch tomorrow when it releases. The style of this game is one i love a-lot and would to see more games using this style. And i will be playing it on hard mode right at the start since i already know what to expect in term of difficulty and it was great. Revisiting the game with voice acting and changing the ost is a great addition.

I love that the second part opens up, just like in older ps1 games where the second disc got more open. Definitely play on normal the original game was HARD. Like, really hard difficulty spikes.

Wow this is like the 3rd review I've seen that really praises the English voice work now I'm going in expecting some FFXVI quality voice work. Only nitpick I have is while the character artwork looks great the in-game character models don't do it justice especially for the MC. Still this has been a fantastic year for jrpg fans.

The dioramas are incredible. Don’t listen to the haters. I played this on Apple Arcade since release and it’s the only true Final Fantasy that’s been released since 10 IMO. (Outside of the 7 remakes)

I think I disagree when it comes to these hand-crafted dioramas.. Honestly they look like they've been molded together with play-doh and it just looks very jarring seeing these anime character models running in a plasticine putty world. Prerendored backgrounds had far more detail in them. Also why have they went with that Ariel Black font for the text in battles.

Before I continue to watch: my concern: Never played Fnatasion on Apple Arcade but to my understanding (maybe I'm wrong), there are no micro-transactions on Apple Arcade. So I wonder if this game will also be free of Microtransaction now that it's not on Apple Arcade? Edit: Ok, nothing mention, but tbf I really thought it would also be on phones like Genshin Impact an stuff. Boy oh boy do I love the FFXIV Soundtrack. Maybe I'll give it a try then. :)
