Them changing it to "in for a pounding" is simple word play that tells us Bulma was committed for the rough sex with Vegeta. Thus Trunks's grossed out reaction.

I think the main reason that Cell hasn't been brought back is because he is more Gohan's villain than Goku's. After the Cell saga ended and they decided to refocus the story on Goku bringing Frieza back instead of Cell made more sense. And while Cell is my personal favorite villain (both in the original series and the abridged one) i think it's clear that Frieza is the better villain. He is tied so much into the history of the Saiyan's and has a hand in so many plot threads of the show it's just not really fair to compare him to the other villains. All that being said i would love for them to bring Cell back and maybe use it as an opportunity to give Gohan a glow up too

If they wanted to bring Cell back then they could play the multiverse thing. There are other timelines with Cell in it. Plus they redid Broly so why not redo Androids 13-15. Have them searching for Cell to complete 13's form through the timelines, he manages to enter Trunk's timeline and the original timeline.

Funny enough, they were in the making of a Bojack abridged movie before they decided to finally stop with TFS. All we can do now is hope that the flame of inspiration for TFS comes back inside them once more..... Edit: DBZA not TFS lol

At the end of the Goku Black arc, Xeno basically loads a save of Trunk's timeline before they were attacked by Black. But since that also brought back *a* Trunks, Trunks and Mai from Super were kinda left as outliers in the world, but they were okay with that.

The more I think about it, I’m not sure how much humor they could add. The Buu Saga has so much wacky shit and cheesy one liners in it. Remember these: “You think Buu sexy?” “Look Vegeta. People popcorn!” “What is he (Goku) on...?” And the scene where Goku tries to pawn Bulma off of Old Kai and Vegeta gets pissed

I mean they were planning on doing it before they said they were burnt out, but they also said it was extremely tough writing new jokes for the buu saga which contributed to the burnt out.

I always just assumed that after the Zenos make Future Trunk’s timeline an empty void because of Zamasu, that world was restored (without Zamasu) at the end of the Universe tournament, because it was stated that he restored all the timelines. It could still be empty, but at least in my head canon, I will believe it came back. It kinda makes the entire point of both the Goku Black AND Universe Tournaments mean something more.

No. It was stated that the universes were restored, not the timelines. Not to mention that that timeline would have had it's own Super Dragonballs and the ones from another timeline would not be able to affect that timeline, kind of like the Infinity Gauntlet, which can't be used in timelines or universes outside it's own.

Frieza was a fantastic straight up villain. Just pure evil because it's fun and he can. He was a good use of that trope. Cell had more layers. He had a history that stretched back to Dragon Ball through Gero. He wasn't just being evil for the fuck of it, he had a goal. A plan. A mission. And once he got there he showed himself as a mirror of a saiyan with all that pride and love of fighting. And Buu gets slept on. He himself wasn't really a good character but a force of nature that was so powerful and unbeatable the crew just couldn't do anything to stop him. He created a situation that was more dire than any of the other villains. Pink man literally killed everyone, blew up the Earth, then went to heaven and started double tapping bitches into non-existence.

If he were to train he would be almost unstoppable... shoot... honestly if he became a good guy and Bulma was able to extract some DNA from Broly I would be totally pro-injecting cell with some Broly. I just want say trunks whole timeline problem makes no sense. Ok I get all the z fighters dying by the androids. The thing is they have another set of dragon balls waiting for them on namek. Since goku died he can use king kai to talk to the namekians and explain the problem and they could use the dragon balls to wish back Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. With Piccolo back that brings Kami back as well. Then Goku uses instant transmission to take them to earth along with dende so he can become the new guardian and Piccolo and Kami can fuse. Then go in the hyperbolic time chamber to train for a year. Same group except its going to be Piccolo and Vegeta this time because trunks isn't in this timeline. And Piccolo is stronger than him since he fused with kami if you know Vegeta he isn't gonna pass up the chance to test his strength. And since Cell was born naturally this timeline he's going to be significantly weaker. Because the cell we know absorbed people before he went to the original timeline and absorbed possibly twice that amount when he got there. The more people he absorbs the stronger he gets. Example being when he fought Piccolo the first time he was losing but the second time he absorbed more people by then and wrecked Piccolo's shit. So in trunks timeline he should be very weakened. Easy kill. Use the dragon balls to wish everyone back to life. This way king kai doesn't have to die.

Cell would NEVER be able to turn into Super Saiyan Blue, even for having Saiyan Cells, is because the SSJ blue form is derived from God Ki energy harnessed by Goku when he transformed int a SSG, which was in fact created through the ritual of 5 Good-hearted Saiyans, and there is nothing "Good-Hearted" about Cell. Once Goku trained in order to tap into SSG again, he then learned to use it in tandum with his own SSJ tranformation. So, as intreresting as that notion is, it's not something that should happen. On a logical level given what has been shown thus far.

@@Phantom8941 There's no way of knowing HOW Vegeta did it, but, at this point, Vegeta's personality, his heart, is no longer the same as it was long ago. And if there is some truth to how SSG can be achieved, even in another way, it will be possible for him cause he's different now. The manga and the Super:Broly movie still doesn't explain how. Sure, Maybe Cell could... But I doubt he would ever have the fortitude to achieve SSG to even reach Blue status.
