@@WildPrimitiveSkills It's true, he is. Or at least he's well on his way there. He's so entertaining and unique, always doing interesting, new things with his show. But let's face it even he would admit he's got a long way to go before he's reached Norm status. It took Norm 60 years to reach this level, because that's what it takes usually. A lot of people have been funny for a while and then dropped off or sold out. It's not just that Norm's good but he's also stood the test out of time and stayed true to the same principles from day 1. You can tune in any time and it's just Norm. I do think Theo can possibly be an even better stand up than Norm one day though. I think he has a very high ceiling in that regard, and actually I would say Norm has left a tiny bit to be desired at times with his stand up output.

@@thebrazilianatlantis165 of course they’re both extremely funny and have unique styles, but it’s because of that attitude of not walking on eggshells that elevates them imo. Having the courage to make jokes regardless of the consequences is what breaks down that barrier to greatness. Patrice said it best in that infamous Chris Jericho appearance on O&A when jimmy offended Jericho over a Christopher reeves joke. Norm making jokes about OJ under threat of firing is what sets him apart. Patrice telling a woman on national television (Fox news) that she “only represents the h.0.3. part of nappy headed h.0.3.” is part of what made him a legend. Those are jokes that can only be made by someone fearless. Louis CK is in the same vein. He outlived the era where you were still allowed to be funny, so people think he's already dead. He didn't die, comedy did.

LOL Jim’s Norm Macdonald’s impression is highly unmatched. Him being so deep in SNL w/Norm & the cast reveals pure hilarious shit. The football story stays with me forever. “Ahh jesus christ Breuerrrrr!” heheheheh. Love you Jim, thx for this.

It was the University of Iowa's big sports banquet and my bosses attended. They said it was just like Jim described and they hung out to watch it all. The big booster was a Mennonite /former Amishman and he was first to leave with his grandchildren. We all laughed about it the next day and we said who the hell did they think he was? Norm had to love being asked to leave and not having to golf the next day.

"Many were disgusted, some were delighted". That should be put on his gravestone. That absolutely wraps up Norm and I love it. Holy shit. I love him. Edit: This comment was made about 2 days before he died. I had no clue he was even sick. RIP Norm, I love you man.
