James: "You can expect the weather to be in triple digits!" *screams in celsius*
@merveillelagrace75012 жыл бұрын
k so basically low numbers are really cold and high numbers are really hot so, triple digits for us is equivalent to 38 degrees celsius and up to around 49 degrees celsius

Living in Arizona sounds rough, but I visited the state for fun in July this year and had a great time. I got to see the beautiful Coconino forest, the Grand Canyon, and the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. From a tourist perspective it was, (a slightly hellish) heaven on earth

Northern Arizona is quite pleasant in the summer. But there are like two cities. So most everyone lives around the phoenix area.

I lived in Tucson, and I liked it a lot. Yes, there were lost of downsides, like having to drink three gallons of water a day, and putting in lotion every thirty seconds. However, the people there were cool, unlike the weather. Also, the mountains were nice, and made the sunsets look AMAZING.
@floyvlogs17543 жыл бұрын
Noodle's Gamebox Agreed Arizona peeps are 10x nicer than the jerks up here next to St. Louis. I actually visited New Mexico and Arizona and the mountains are freaking awesome and beautiful. Same about the Grand Canyon.

When me and my friends road-tripped across the country from Philly, we honestly found, of all the locals from all the places we stopped, Phoenix had some of the nicest people. Or rather it felt the most like being around other Philadelphians (maybe that says more about us than it does them? haha). Denver was the snobbiest tho...

Im 100% convinced the reason Arizonans came up as bad drivers is because of Snow Birds. Everyone Ive met despises them
@BadgunmusicII4 жыл бұрын
Nathan Szpakowski, it might be the snow birds. The main thing that annoys me about driving here isn’t the aggressive driving, it’s the passive aggressive driving. By that I mean, someone will stay in the left lane and very slowly pass, but just as soon as there is enough room for one to pass on the right, they speed up and block you from passing the moment you jump out to do so.

Writing this 6 years later. LOL Saguaro Cacti are pretty awesome! I didn't know they were only in Arizona and a small part of Mexico. That's pretty cool! In-N-Out burger is disgusting! I tried In-N-Out when they opened a few stores here. Do they not know what seasoning is? Seriously that was the most bland flavorless piece of meat I have ever had the displeasure to put in my mouth! I live in Texas and nothing, I mean NOTHING IS BETTER THAN WHATABURGER! I'm actually a little worried that they'll go downhill now that they're starting to branch outside of Texas...Hopefully they will stay awesome! It gets that hot here in Texas sometimes too. It's just dryer in Arizona. You don't have daylight savings?!?! You lucky bastards!!! The Grand Canyon is awesome!!! Although I only went once when I was 3 and I don't really remember it. And yes the Grand Canyon is in the Northwest corner of Arizona. Winter sucks! I absolutely hate the cold! January 2021 when Texas got all that Snow was one of the most horrible things ever! If I never see snow again it will be too soon! Traffic is terrible here too! Most of the time everyone is driving 10mph or more below the posted speed limit! At stoplights I swear Green means, go after finishing your text message, (Even though that's illegal!) Yellow means floor it as much as possible to get through the light before it changes, and Red means "Oh goody I can change my pants now!" Unless you're driving really early in the morning. Then everyone is driving 20mph over the speed limit. Green means go when you wake up from your micro-nap, Yellow means change lanes and cut off the people behind you so that you can be first to go when its green, and Red means sitting there like a moron for ten minutes even though there isn't another car around for miles but if you run the light the traffic cam catches you and you'll get a ticket. Sandstorms or Haboobs, are scary! You can't see a dang thing, they're very noisy, and when they're over literally everything is orange! Heat: Everyone complains about the heat here in Texas too. The difference is that in Texas we have 4 different regions. It is not just a giant desert like Hollywood might have you believe. We have Gulf Coastal Plains, Hill Country, Great Plains, and Mountains. West Texas is a desert...but it's different from the Arizona desert. People say that Humidity makes heat worse, but I disagree. It might feel hotter because when it's humid the sweat doesn't evaporate as fast, therefore you don't cool down as fast. However in a dry heat it feels like the air is just sucking every single tiny bit of moisture out of your skin as fast as possible turning you into a human raisin! It's Hell!

I live in Arizona but not in like the big cities like in Phoenix or something I love in a reservation it's really nice but most of these things are true especially in the summer it's hot. And during winter I don't have a AC so me and my grandpa or my uncle go out and cut wood to make a fire. It kinda sucks living here but it's nice to especially when it rains and snows (but it also gets really cold)

Most of it is either exaggerated or not true. Why? 110 temps are not common. They only seem common because they tend to be consecutive (meaning various back to back days with 110 temps) due to the high pressure systems that come and go. It's never hot in the Northern and Eastern parts. In fact, Arizona gets cold, super cold. Usually in the Northern and Eastern parts (Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Show Low, etc.) where you'll see temps below freezing and sometimes in the negatives there. Oh, and it snows a heck of a lot there too. Not just in flagstaff, but in most parts of the Northern and Eastern portion of the state. Here in Phoenix, on the other hand, it's not really that cold. Chilly on some days but mostly cool and relatively mild. We have a LOT of trees in Arizona. Even in the desert cities! We may have desert trees like mesquite trees but in Phoenix we have a lot of trees scattered around that you would see in the midwest or anywhere else that isn't a desert. The Northern and Eastern parts of AZ is basically forest with pine trees and stuff. Not all of Arizona is a desert and not all desert cities are treeless. IT DOES RAIN QUITE OFTEN IN ARIZONA LOL. Specifically talking about, you guessed it, the Northern and Eastern parts. Most of the desert rain is concetrated towards the winter or summer, not usually in between. Only season where we get little to no rain is Spring. And believe me when it rains in the desert it POURS.
