Damn the "quotation marks incident" took me back.. I took a class in poetry in college, and the teacher used to say it was wrong of us to assume you need prior information on the author's backstory to understand a poem, everything you need to know is in the text. So she would ask stuff like: "What does the author mean with X?" And I would be like: "because of the wording, it sounds like he means Y", and she would correct me: "Oh no, to understand this you actually have to know that he moved houses a lot as a child and that his dad used to beat him up". I quit right after that.

As someone who is friends with teachers, I still keep it professional and talk to them outside of their classes as well as never using their first name. I mean really, they're much older than me so the least I can do is respect them as an elder by adding a "Ms." or "Mr." to their name. Also I never even knew that poetry class was a thing because we always had to do Language Arts Literacy (LAL) and we hardly ever get to the parts of the book where we would read poems from there (which I like). So I would read those poems while the rest of the lesson was going on because I already read ahead of the story we were talking about.

I actually went to the same school as James! (Kind of) this school is K-12. And they divided it up by an elementary school side, and a 6-12 side. I only went to this location from K-2, but my mom got a job at a new location opening of the same school. I’m still in that other school as a senior as of right now, and I’ve met a lot of amazing people over the years. Although a part of me wishes I went to a normal public school, it has been an amazing experience.

Last year, my math teacher was really laid back. You don't want to do the homework? Alright, but you need to do it if you want to re-do a test. You want to play online games after finishing the lesson? Sure. She would also be really easy to talk to. Omg my old Study Den teacher used to do them little riddles. He was seriously one of my top 5 favorite teachers ever. Anyway, this one poem was something like- a scuba diver was in a tree that was burning how did he get there? Took our study den class nearly a week to figure it out. Turns out, there was a forest fire, and a chopper scooped up some water where the scuba diver was swimming, and dumped it on the forest fire. Y'now, as you do. Then, he landed in a tree. Fun times.

I have to do latin for 5 years. I'm Italian, and we have so many different tipes of High school. There's the art High school ( they don't do latin there), the linguistic High school, the Classic High school and i go to the scientific high school. The fun fuct Is that at the scientific high school latin is one of the most important class after maths. LATIN.
