I am a woman. One of my sons was a firefighter he explained to me that it took 3 women to pull a hose what half a man can pull. I am a child of the 70's and believe most women are capable of many jobs. I am a professional. But I do not a woman fire fighter even a woman cop. Pilots ? No. If you ever had a period you know what hormones do to you. I would not want me piloting a plane 2 days before my period. Men know this. And they have been silenced. Even their instinct for protection has been discouraged.

I agree with you on the firefighters and police officers. Those two jobs require an intense level of physicality. We are going to have to agree to disagree on women serving as pilots. Not every woman experiences wild swings in mood and behavior. The idea that women become irrational / hysterical every 28 days is a tired stereotype in my experience.

I grew up in the Shasta forest in Northern California where the whole town worked for the lumber mill which harvested fallen trees. Then the Sierra Club was upset because the spotted owl. They caused mills all over Northern California and southern Oregon to shut down. It put thousands of people out of work and destroyed entire towns. I live in Texas now because my father who worked for the mill in the town I grew up in was layed off. Everyone in the town either worked for the mill or the national forest service. Forest fires got worse after they were no longer allowed to harvest the fallen trees on the forest floor. The people who fought to get these mills closed did not live in the area and had no idea that we loved the forest and that’s why we lived there. The spotted owl was not going to be extinct. The environmentalists did not know and did not live there. They destroyed entire towns.

I grew up in Plumas County CA. My family were loggers from the 1930’s until my dad had enough in 1971. We moved to Nevada and dad worked in construction. It makes me sick to see all this because of the ignorance of ‘the elected government’ people who only want to spend money on ‘special interest groups.’ I do hope you know the spotted owl was a plant. People were caught ‘planting’ them in Plumas County! My husband was a firefighter for 40 years; I was a professional volunteer Lt. it’s disgusting what we both saw and had to deal with. @ oh I definitely know what they did with the whole spotted owl situation… I grew up around that bird and they lived all over the place. They tried to say “they only live in old growth forests”. When forest fires broke out, there would be approximately 2000+ firefighters camping out at the Forest Service station. We would volunteer to feed and keep the camp running. We spent summers planting new trees to help rebuild. I lived in McCloud on Mt. Shasta. If you are familiar, you know the area we dealt with. Smokie the bear - “only you can prevent forest fires!🔥 “

Falling trees across landing roads, placing spikes in trees so they would explode when our loggers would go to fall specific trees for harvest. I own large forests in Mississippi and we intensively manage our forest resources. and do proscriptive burns to (A) prevent future destructive burns, (B) it helps the trees by returning nutrients to the souls and ridding invasive species, and (C) increase game and wildlife.

Thankfully there are still churches and Pastors that follow the Bible!! I know it was hard for that young lady to stand in front of the church and confess a sin and ask for prayers, but when you are faithful to confess your sins and ask for forgiveness then God is faithful in forgiving you! I live in a forested area that is also a massive tourism area. My state has programs that includes Job Corps, and prison inmates (everyone gets paid) who clear brush and deadfall in the populated and highly touristed areas. We still get fires but they sweep quickly through and almost never burn hot enough to set the trees on fire. They'll get scorched, but don't light on fire.

As a man that had a 33-year career in the fire service and retired out as a Battalion Chief in the metro Atlanta area. I can say that a women CAN NOT PULL OUT a 250-pound man wearing 80 to 100 pounds of gear while she also has on the same amount of gear on her back, and she can't fight a grown man if he was to attack her on the job. i live in south central Wisconsin, the the State forest called Kettle Moraine. literally every year you cant go anywhere in our( Wi) forests with out seeing CONTROLLED BURNS everywhere!! Love your show! Please share your thoughts on Catholics. Im Catholic and have never in my 50 years heard a Catholic priest talk down on another Christian religion. I been to many churches in many states and not once has this negativity come up. I do listen to all of the other denominations preach because I like the energy but as soon as they go on bashing religions, I tune off. What is it about Catholics do you not like? The statues, the saints, the customs? All denominations have their customs. Some speak in tongues, some wave a jacket and make you faint, some claim to heal but its not my job to say if its fake or not. I will always love the Catholics for 1 planting the seed of Christ in me and that lead to other denominations adding water to the seed. I personally feel the Catholic church went through the muddy waters to open doors to all of the other Christian based religions so i prefer to respect all of those that preach in Christ. Bashing a religion feels as if it comes from a dark area in the heart. We should all join together if Christ is who we worship.

I grew up apostolic Pentecostal we had a few young ladies get pregnant out of wedlock… they never had to get up and repent in front of the church.. they never hid it. They were no longer allowed to be active in the choir or other church functions like that. However, they did throw the baby shower but it was after the baby was born not before. My pastor said it wasn’t to celebrate the pregnancy but to support the babies.

Sorry I don't agree with the way that church treated that young lady. Her sin is between her and the Lord ONLY. I got pregnant at 21 and wasn't married and never said a word to my face about how my child was conceived. And the pastor's wife and ladies of the church threw my shower right there in the church and supported me. My son is turning 18 on the 17th. I didn't need to be publicly shamed. We all sin. We all fall short of the glory of God.

California fires. Don’t get me started! I am a helo mech. Was stationed in Tustin. We sat on top of our barracks and watched the smoke from the fires as we waited on standby. Never called us! Our squadron could have put ALL of the fires out in one day. After leaving the Marines I worked for Columbia Helicopters. They get paid HUGE money to fight forest fires. They have a contract with the forest service. Get where I am going with this? 💵 💰 💷 💰

I went camping at portola redwoods state park several years ago. They had signs everywhere, that you were not allowed to use forest debris in your campfire, or you would get a huge fine if they caught you. How much sense does that make? Leave all of the pine cones, pine needles, leaves and small dead branches right next to your fire pit. And they wonder why there's fires. Common sense, is to clear anything near the fire pit that is flammable. Absolutely, asinine! I never went back to that campground.

I live in Arkansas, trees are a major industry. The logging companies do controlled burns. We don't have forrest fires. Plus California needs to upgrade their power grid. It causes many fires.
