This was definitely your best Eminem reaction so far! 👏 Please do keep taking the time to pause and figure out the bars/references. It’s impossible to fully appreciate the lyrical 🐐 otherwise. He truly is a modern day Shakespeare. As to wondering about the visual of the shadowy figure chasing Em through the video, I’ve always taken it as him being haunted by the ghost of Slim Shady. The whole Kamikaze album is his (very angry 😂) response to the criticism he had received for the Revival album. Revival is largely “woke” Em…he had a lot of meaningful, deep shit to say. And a lot of people didn’t care for it and said they wanted the old Slim Shady back. It’s not my favorite Eminem album as a whole, but there are some amazing songs on it, and I can appreciate what he was doing with it. I’ve always casually liked certain rap/hip hop artists/songs, but have never been a true hip-hop head. Eminem grabbed my attention like no other rapper had when he first hit big (I was a freshman in high school at the time). Yes, the “shock value” of his early Slim Shady material was part of that, but it was more than that…it was the amazing wordplay (that has only gotten more impressive with time), the flow patterns, the way he uses his voice as both a narrator and an instrument, etc. Since he’s gotten almost no mainstream radio play since the Recovery album, I really had *no clue* that he never slowed down until I got all nostalgic when I heard he’d be in the Super Bowl Halftime Show and decided to dig back through his catalogue (and I’ve incidentally learned a ton more about his against-all-odds life story). I’ve grown a whole new respect for Em as an artist and as a human being.

Bro, I have followed eminem since middle school, and I can definitely agree with you that he has gotten better and better throughout the years with his rhyme scheme and everything..... now, I think revival was his worst album, and this was around the same time I started listening to underground artists, but I still was right there when Eminem dropped Kamikaze.... once I heard that album, I was like "yup, he's back".... then MGK got absolutely demolished in Killshot, and I was like "yeah, why would you diss eminem".... now we got the Game dissing Eminem, and well yeah, we'll see how that goes.... if I was a betting man, I wouldn't bet against Eminem though, cuz I'm pretty sure he's undefeated

Maybe he should make it a mummy like the art of SSLP and as he refers to slim shady on cum on everybody so more people can catch it. At first I believe its the public hate and criticism since the ghost canes from the phone which was full with criticism about the album, so the ghost (hate) is chasing him and finally capture him. Aka defeats him so he made Kamikaze cuz the hate defeated him and he has to respond to all that criticsm

The absolute next Eminem song y'all need to react to is, The Way I Am. This song got Busta Rhymes so hype when he first heard it he smashed the window on his tour bus with his head. Edit: it wasn't this song specifically, but his first album and it was Wyclef's tour bus.
@erickpalacios89042 жыл бұрын
My interpretation of the video is that his previous couple of albums prior to _Kamikaze_ were trashed by critics. They said Em had fell off, that his new music wasn't anything like his old stuff, that they wanted slim shady back. And, to an extent, they were correct - the new albums weren't anything like his old music, because em had evolved. He had started including more political discourse and social commentary into his music and had somewhat moved away from the shady persona whilst incorporating more poppy sounds, but a lot of people didn't like that. Even a lot of em fans. In the video he's running from a shadow/monster who's chasing him down and finally catches up to him and possesses his body (also a reference to the movie _Venom_ for which he did the titular song). Also, remember that in the beginning of this song he says, _"You wanted shady? You got him!"_ Meaning he's bringing back that savage, _"I don't give a fuck"_ persona and giving in to it on his new material. At the end you see he steps on and smashes a copy of his revival album and has blackened eyes. I for one love this new eminem who kind of blends the two together while showing off his amazing technical skills. Great reaction guys! I agree with others that you guys are catching a whole lot more than you used to. Fire. 🔥

Kathy Griffin was actually the nurse in the real Slim Shady original song. She was the nurse that said "Will the real Slim Shady please stand up, I think we're gonna have a problem here." Also there was a bar "like i'm carrying Oxford dictionary in my pocket" he use to study the dictionary.
