In most cases you probably will. Especially if you mention that’s what you want

No, there is no guarantee . What happens is that you will put into a medical unit an then you have to try out to be part of a line unit. Basically you have to be just as fit as the infantry to keep up and pass the tryouts.

Depends on your unit and if you get deployed. You may or may not have time to pursue an education. If you get assigned to a clinic or something like she is then yea you could probably manage taking classes as well. If you’re on a line unit like infantry or you get deployed; probably not.

Would the training process be any different if a recruit is already a paramedic and has a degree?
@ChasesChess4 жыл бұрын
im at ait right now as a 68w and we have some people who were paramedics and they got fast tracked to whiskey phase as long as also getting their specialist. i just got through emt phase though omw to whiskey so i cant tell you much passed that point. you are probably better off because emt phase they shove a waater hose of information down your throat and turn it on full blast so your knowlege base is probably alot more solid
@ChasesChess4 жыл бұрын
forgot to mention they offer airborne and ranger contracts based on gpa and pt so if you are reasonably fit, you might have a better chance because a high gpa is hard in emt unless you are commited to studying alot everyday
@trevenlinger85934 жыл бұрын
Is there any way to request being a line medic? If I get airborne would that help improve my chances of being a line medic?
@jasonfields70582 жыл бұрын
Not really. What happens is being a line medic is a whole other ball game. You will initially be placed with a medical unit of some sort and then you have to go for try outs usually. They don't just throw you into a linevunit. Basically you go to the try out outs and they will test how good you are as a medic and if you are just as fit as the infantry. The main thing is being fit to keep up with the infantry. Once you show you can and get through the try outs, they put you with a line unit.
