Probably one of the best bikes out there and be my next bike. I have the fe350, both are incredible especially with some Shinko cheaters, amazing tires for rocky areas

Thanks for this review! I'm in a similar situation as you coming from major MTB background and you nailed some of the things I struggle with on my Beta 390 - engine braking, clutch, and brake feel along with the Sachs suspension! This nearly solidifies my decision on needing to go this route. Cheers!

This bike is likely everything you’re looking for. Sounds like we are the same. I’m going to be taking it on a 4 day single track trip in the next week or so. This bike is so plush light and smooth, I can’t wait.

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel how do you like the WP suspension? I really don't get along with the Sachs on my Beta. I've historically been very picky on my suspension and it is nearly a deal-breaker for me. I've been eyeballing a Sherco particularly since it has a dialed KYB setup from everything I've read.

I know its apple to oranges but I'm thinking of trading FE350 for this how would they compare? Should I expect the TE300 to be more snappy? Good to see you in Johnson Valley. I'm in Yucca and just trail ride

KTM has a wire under the tank that you can plug into the "map" switch and mount on the handlebars. You just have to install a switch and connect the wire. I did mine and now it's the same as the Huski, Just FYI to everyone out there.

Two great motorcycles! I still think the 790 ( or now 890 ) is the best “serious” off road adventure bike out there. Good luck on your decision. Either way, you’re going to love it 🤙

Would love to see some more videos of this bike and what you do with this bike I’m looking to get that exact bike and specifically what you do with the handle bars if you raise them. I’m 6,4 219lbs without gear and I hate standing up because it kills my lower back.

its not the tire, its the fork length and soft suspension on the bike that makes it not like sand. I have a 20 te and it took a while for me to figure it out.

My goodness that thing can tractor up a hill, sounds like we are close to the same in weight and height. I had a 2020 TE250i and got rid of it, it was my first two stroke in almost 20 years and it was not what I thought it would be (I was a KTM 520/500 rider for that time). I wanted lower temps (we were living in Havasu) while riding on the bike so I found a 250 there wasn't a 300 in the USA, so I settled. The handling on that bike was just wow good, and I think you have a real winner there. I agree with you on tires, people picking on that are just, dude they're tires get different ones. I will say that front tire is REALLY good up in Utah in the Bryce Canyon area and the Swell area. But in Havasu it was meh in the kitty litter stuff.

Question for you or anyone else riding a 300 tpi. What's the maximum range you have achieved? I need to get about 85 miles to reach fuel. Thanks.

I am hearing these are only getting 40-50 miles per tank of fuel! You may need a bigger tank or carry a fuel bladder.

Good review, wish I had more chunky rock like that to ride in the midwest. Check out Rich Larson on IRC tire's channel, he has a great series breaking down the individual techniques to build muscle memory and confidence in technical terrain. Not having the correct ergonomics for your tall frame is going to increase static balance difficulty. When I started going really slow (300xcw slipping clutch in 1st) and forcing myself to use good technique I started to grow as a rider. Funny how that works. Looking forward to seeing how you like the TPI in the dunes. If its not enough might look at an Rktek head, that map switch will come in handy.
@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel2 жыл бұрын
I'll have to check that out. I do like the slow rocky technical stuff. I need to focus on my standing and balance abilities though. Definitely going to spend some time in the garage getting the ergos dialed!

What are you looking to use the bike for primary? My beta 500 has tons of power for that wide open desert and sand dune situation. The 300 has a ton of power, but not like the 500. It will be used for trails rocks and single track.

I'm 64 and considering buying a 2-stroke dirt bike. Should I see a psychiatrist? Or a chiropractor? I can get a discount on acupuncture, maybe that will cure me. Sold my CR500 20 years ago been riding Yamaha 4 strokes for long time. I want a lighter bike. E-start. 300 has as much power as a 450? Just as quick & it will climb the same sand hills. On a dyno the 450 has a couple more HP. If weight is a non-issue I'd go for the 450. If you do extreme enduro get the 300. If you need 100 mph get the 450. And gear it up.

CA state sales tax 9.25% in LA County cheaper in some others. $50 /year registration so they can pay cops OT to bust your balls for being too loud. They are supposed to use the $50 to develop riding areas but they suck too much to do that. We have the most evil government people in the history of people they despise dirt bikes and rifles and they lie a lot. Schiff, Pelosi, & Newsome. I'll exclude Feinstein . The worst of the worst, and even worse than that. And they are quite popular, unlike myself. People enjoy seeing others in pain I guess, even if they feel the pain too. I ran into Newsome once. I had to stay 6 feet away. Unexpected WTF moment. He is tall. Maybe 6'4". If he has a husky I'll shit myself.
