Notes about the video: 1. I cut out a LOT of unnecessary explanation for the story elements. So if something doesn't make sense, just ask, I have an extremely overcomplicated answer already. 2. The reason this video is so long compared to the previous 'What if?' is because there's a lot less to logically assume from an Enclave victory than a mutant army victory. Where the Master would have to then conquer the rest of world if he won, the Enclave simply kill everything when they win. So I had to make up a lot more stuff to happen in this episode as opposed to last episode. 3. I use a lot of non-canon stuff in this video like: Portland being a hellscape - Fallout The Frontier Bloomfield space center - Van Buren The Existence of an east coast Enclave during Fallout 2 - Possible, but not confirmed by canon 4. People keep asking about a part 2. It's not impossible for there to be a part 2 but, the story was meant to be concluded at the end, there's not much else that would happen. I may do a short follow up tying up any loose ends (yes that includes the Institute, stop asking) and covering any interesting suggestions if anyone wants to put any forward.

Question: Why wouldn't the Enclave make contact with Big MT? As for the Sierra Madre I'm sure the Enclave would kill (quite literally) for the matter processing units and hologram tech, yes the ghost people and the cloud may be a problem but they could just leave Frank Horrigan and a heavily armed squad there for a week or two. The matter processing units would be perfect for helping supply remote outposts and early settlements without GECKs, the gold would be added to the treasury and the holograms could be an infinant supply of soldiers and laborer's

The only counter I would have is that The Enclave could find the Sierra Madre the same way the courier did, pick up a strange broadcast , probably mistake it for something like a second Vegas or if the Sierra Madre was in the Enclave's records, they could see it as a target to search for pre-war tech. Though the counter to that would be, it may just not be a high enough priority that they would ever stumble onto it before everything else happens. the weird thing about vegas lore is the NCR supposedly has rail lines and concrete bunkers. quarry junction is a revitalized quarry that's producing real building stones... yet the game is populated by dank ruins and tin shacks. i would love to see the 1940s normandy-esque bunkers that were supposed to be underway along the colorado... even if they were Potemkin forts where those who defended them were starving and low on ammo.

An RTS here would be great ala Age of Empires, Enclave Eastern, Vegas and Brotherhood play as a more Balanced faction who field Frontiersmen, more common Power armor and Security bots (with the excemption of late game Eastern Enclave units), Trident is a Powerhouse faction weilding more advanced and destructive weapons than the other factions and the Institute plays as a Subversive faction with infiltrator droids and Teleportation tech.

The Enclave winning FO2 means a ravage of all tech/advanced in the wasteland like the Brotherhood did, it would be 100% possible for the Enclave to take Big Mt, and convert it. I do like the idea of them taking over, cuz the faster and rapid develop of tech with more blueprints, resources ecc. But yes, the wasteland in general would be confused and with some hairbrows raised, the expanding of the Enclave should have been rather than immediate force, with more dialoque like the Romans did.

I'll also completely agree with the last DLC putting a backstory on you being a pretty crappy thing. New Vega's big advantage for a long while was the PC being a very open slate. You can have super mutants survive from one of the East coast vaults. And you could play as one of the few who were naturally immune to the virus and had to watch everyone die.

I think the Enclave winning could mean a couple things. Mostly depending on the ideology of the current leaders. Like if they decide that a Colonel Autumn style mindset is better or if they go whole hog with the Richardson/Eden plan. @@TheOmegaInitiative There's a mod for fnv called for the enclave which basically adds an enclave questline to the game , and it's very similar to the story of the video , two enclave factions fighting while you have the default nv factions going in as well. Richardson elite (bad guys) vs the normal enclave (the guys you work for). And funny enough , there's a character called Dornan Jr that assists you when you're attacking the Richardson elite's final base and will call you a maggot if you don't follow orders. The final boss is sup to be another mutant in power armor like frank horrigan except he wears modified mk2 instead of mk1 . If you have some free time , you should try the mod , it's pretty nice. The voice acting can get little shitty doe.

This is fantastic, Augustus Autumn became one of my favorite FO3 characters after I got past the fact he's the guy who caused Dad's death. @@As567na I think the enclave if they used the FEV would essentially colonize America pretty fast, and would simply use the vault dwellers as a new population source. Potentially across the United States in fallout there’s probably close to 100,000 pre war Americans in the vaults and in our real world people have up to 5 children in sub sharan Africa; imagine the United States with endless pre war loot, no monsters and millions of acres of vacant land. Essentially if the enclave ever won there’s no reason to assume fallout wouldn’t be like playing civilization. What makes fallout intriguing is the uniqueness of the factions, the risk of the wasteland and the struggle over philosophy and the FALLOUT of humanity and human behavior/philosophy. I think it would be best to introduce a new off shoot of the enclave in the next fallout but that won’t be for years, but we know the enclave have a presence in Chicago and that the brotherhood canonically did send airships but contact was lost with them, and that fallout brotherhood of steel in non canon but that doesn’t the brotherhood doesn’t have a presence there, a game set in the Midwest could be interesting for that reason alone.

I would make the cannon ending to new Vegas the house/independent ending with Nevada being a buffer zone between the legion and new California. I would make the NCR desperate for new resources and so they expand out to Oregon and Washington desperate for food, water and sources for economy prosperity under the drain of new Vegas and the shrinking economy in California. They would come across a crusader state like the tectonic knights out in the forest who use T-45 PA like mid-evil knight armor and who use swords the length of bikes as there primary weapons. The main plot would revolve around rather or not the player aids the crusaders or the decaying NCR.

Enclave and mr house working together is admittedly an awesome concept and sadly not an option in new Vegas. Thanks for your take on this. Also, I have a concept I think you might find interesting: what if the enclave remnants allied with the Midwest BOS after their employ of super mutants, ghouls and Deathclaws in their ranks? I can see a decent sized group of Enclave making their way to the east coast and they come across the Midwest chapter. They notice their armor is similar to theirs and instead decide to compromise with them as they have resources and research to better aid the Midwest chapter and their coalition of mutants. I can see power armored super mutants, vastly more intelligent death claws and possibly more competent ghouls getting modified radiation absorption power armor to heal them in combat, insuring longer fighting capability. The Midwest B.O.S. Coalition makes their way to the east coast to Washington, contacting the East coast BOS chapter. Seeing the effectiveness of the coalition, the east coast chapter allows them to aid in the effort to fight back the east coast super mutants, thus making the brotherhood a stronger force in that region, even knowledgeable of Enclave tactics when the east coast enclave eventually makes contact.

I don't really know if we should consider the institute canon. FO4 just brings the quality of writing down so far. Like, the biggest problem with addressing the institute in something like this is that they literally do not have a written motivation. They did initially in the design documents, but some of the higher ups didn't get the memo apparently, because they wrote a bunch of shit that contradicted their intended motivation, and they decided to solve the conflicting information by just removing any information that directly states anything about why they're doing what they're doing. The Institute as presented in Fallout 4 is literally an unfinished faction. And the little snippets and hints that are left in game directly contradict each other. Its just a mess.

I will keep insisting on this until someone actually makes a game. The way you have the Enclave win is where you start out in a game as a major Enclave cell and your character is sent out into the wastes to scout them out. In part this is done because there are factions in the Enclave - all to some extent or another want to wipe the slate clean but some want to find out if there is anything worth saving. Through your choices you can completely turn on the Enclave, side with 'annihilationists' in the Enclave, or do a number of quests that cause moderates to win out - perhaps even uniting the Brotherhood and the Enclave - and the game in that ending would end with a vow that reunited the Enclave - not just the US government will restore order to the wastes - take back what is rightfully those of every decent human with fire and sword. All monsters were will be exterminated, the land will be green again.

@@jackvernian7779 My point about that is that it is a way of having an outcome where the Enclave could win - and thus reestablishing them as a threat - without it being game over for the the game world and where they represent a strand of thought all players to some extent subscribe to 'kill all the monsters! They are scary!' Which may not be entirely the best choice but it is a very understandable choice. It would also mean that if the Enclave won in this way it would progress the game world and solidify some choices to be made down the road about what kind of world and government does a recovering USA want. Does it prize order and security (United Enclave of BoS and Enclave), does it prize a mix of security with some democratic accountability (New Cali Republic) or does it want everyone to be free ranging libertarians?

How was this not long enough? There's nothing left to cover. I already had to create so many story aspects because the Enclave winning in Fallout 2 would normally be pretty simple. There's no way I could add to this.

I don't know this video doesn't really need a part 2 all it needs is just an explain of what happened to The Institute and the Commonwealth and then it's done there's nothing really to do and that could just be speculation

@@TheOmegaInitiative I think that's the point, people love your created story aspects. Your deep knowledge of the lore fits well with what we understand of the Canon, and most people myself included would simply love to see either a slightly prolonged conclusion or a continuation in general. Not entirely necessary, and yes likely way more speculative, but your speculation seems to be what has your audience enthralled. Just something to consider for any future video.
