Those are our feelings as well...especially the harpy...I truly can not understand why he is so popular...he makes 5 minute videos about other people's ideas, and from the little of him I've watched, he doesn't appear to me to have even read the books

Yeah I guess he does mainly show theories I stopped watching after the second video , but the show has become so shallow what is there to theorise about. Talking about the show, the first worry I had it was going downhill was the ridiculous Yara/Asha saving Theon with the "20 best killers on the Iron isles" idea who apparently weren't worth shit topped of with the cringy shirtless Ramsey scene. After that it got even worse with the sandsnakes, Littlefingers plan making no sense at all, the poor acting of Danaerys, Sansa and a few others I cant recall. Even the Arya parts were so badly done I mean wtf was her plan walking around Bravos casualy, getting stabbed then doing a wild chase scene while gravely injured it was even bad for fanfiction. The stabbing of Jon scene was so epic in the book and a joke in the show. How can they fuck up so badly with such great source material. While last season was visually impressive sometimes, the writing and story were shit, full of flaws and didnt make any sense. Sorry for long reply and mediocre English (it's not my first language)

that's because they entertain the show watchers, there's no way anyone who just watches the show is gonna have any idea what you two are talking about, and that's not a bad thing in my own opinion. I like to watch the show, but I can't stand the speculations made by people who watch the show because they are using a very flawed show storyline as their base of logic for what is going on and it is exhausting telling them whats wrong with what they are saying without offending them which makes it impossible to talk to afterwards. The only reason I bother to do that much is to convince people to check the boks out because i think that if they like the show than they're robbing themselves of a better experience by not reading the series as well. You'll get there though, wait until TWOW comes out, when more of your stuff gets confirmed you're channel will blow up. People had 5 years to decipher ADWD and subscribe to the more popular theories made in its wake and before its release before your channel came along and a lot of these people are holding on tight to the theories they have accepted as true for years and your theories (while so much better) are quite different and controversial and accepting them is just too big a pill to swallow for some of them. Once a lot of those more popular theories get disproven though your'e channel will blow up. After R+L=J gets disproven its going to turn the world on it's head and you're channel will have more traffic than times square and there will definitely be a small army of people sharing and/or trying to steal your ideas. Hell Ideasoficeandfire is the only other channel I can think of that also thinks that doesn't believe in R+L=J at the moment.

thank you...we try to get the names right...we have been accused of mispronouncing a few of them...If I recall correctly the way we say E-dric instead of Ed-ric really bothered someone and I want to say the way we said Bael the Bard...some of them are judgement calls since we've never heard them said because a lot of the characters we talk about aren't in the books, but I totally agree that it is at the very least incredibly distracting when someone is butchering a name over and over and over again in a video

I know I'm kinda late for comments but I've been rewatching some of your videos and I think I may have a tidbit you should follow up on... I completely agree that the Jogos Nhai are Children living in a different place in the world, along with the original Faceless Men. Their black and white colors also naturally link them for us. I immediately started to think of other places in the world and it hit me... Missandei. When we hear Missandei's description, she is small even for her age yet wise, a talent for tongues, and with golden eyes. It it known that the Ghiscari consider them the best slaves because of their obedience. Okay let's talk about this. Small? Well the Children are certainly known for being abnormally small, that's why they are called children. Wise? Bran seems to be in awe of them and their vast knowledge of past thanks to the weirwood net. A talent for tongues? The Children call themselves Those Who Sing the Song of Earth, a talent certainly indicative of tongues. Golden eyes? Another checkmate for a Child of the Forest. There are also the black and white butterflies that live on the Isle of Naath...to match the colors of our House of Black and White and the zorses of the Jogos Nhai. I also happen to believe the woman Arya refers to as the Waif may be a Child as well, she too fits many of these qualities. Consider looking through the text for more examples, this is just something that came off the top of my head rewatching this. Really loved this theory, and many of yours!

Isn't there speculation that the destruction of Hardhome was a dress rehearsal for the Doom? That the Faceless Men and/or the CotF used firewyrms (subterranean members of the dragon family) in each instance to cause a major cataclysm? Obviously on a smaller scale for Hardhome but because of its isolation it would not be investigated by anyone and passed off as fanciful wildling superstitions. Maybe you're getting to that with your next instalment, hope I haven't jumped the gun. Great work again guys, I tell everyone who's interested in ASOIAF about you.

Great job making the connection between the 'Children Species' across the world. The description of skulls and features in both places is a good connection. So, the Children of the Forest vicariously through the genus Jogos Nhai of the species Children caused the Doom. Pretty fun ideas.

I think the Jhogos Nhai are more similar to the Crannogmen than to the ChildrenOTF. Perhaps the JN interbred with the COTF of their area as the First Men were alleged to in the Neck and the North. The Crannogmen have people with greendream abilities, and several old Westerosi families have wargs. The moonsingers of the JN seem to fit a similar type. Additionally, the name moonsinger reminds me of Quaithe and her use of the moon and stars to communicate over long distances with Dany.

Yet it is the most asked question, now that the show has completely jumped the gun with the books, it is poorly written fan fiction, and cringy, the last few seasons were a trainwreck i couldn't look away from. Yet the fanbase are so obsessed with the idea that R+L=J they're literally fighting it as if it would ruin the story? It would enrich it if you have gotten it correct, I'll be sad if your theories aren't true because they truly enrich the asoiaf world, It's hinted by not saying it that R+L = J, from the start I think we were meant to believe it, that's what most would draw after the first few paragraphs, but that is not the story. Red herring if you will. I know deep down Jon is Asharas son, there's simple no other way for everything to make sense.

Hey guys, big fan here. Was wondering if you guys buy into the fact that Dany's red door house is in Braavos and particularly in Sealord Braavos' house. Lemon trees seem to be not growing in Braavos, but seeing Seelords fascination with collecting weird stuff it might seem that he has lemon trees (or doesn't and only Syrio Forel can tell that). That's why Seelord of Braavos was a witness to Dany's marriage pact. As a result of that pact more chaos would be broguht onto Westeros and more people would die (be sacrificed to weirwoods). This is awesome. You're beginning to tie up so many loose ends connecting the dots all over Planetos that all your videos are kind of running together. Amazing work guys, really. It's been a busy week so I've watched this a few times and been pondering some things. If we have the CotF, Moonsingers, Josos Nhai, and possible other "beings" form other areas are all essentially the same species just geographically adapted, could the Others\WhiteWalkers also be a CotF species just geographically adapted to the lands of always winter? I am really thinking on this one and trying to figure out if this is possible. I don't think there is anything in the books so far to absolutely discount that. The vision Bran has in the show about the CotF creating the White Walker by stabbing him with dragon glass is not book cannon so GRRM could go a totally different direction correct? As far as my memory goes there is no "Others\Whiewalker" origin in the books yet. Please someone correct me on that if I'm mistaken.

That is exactly what we've been trying to do...we base our theories on the entire world and all the storylines needing something big enough to pull all of the information he provides into a coherent story....in terms of the evolutionary differences within species, it occurred to me that the humans in this world have obviously evolved differently, from Summer Islanders and Ghiscari and Rhoynish peoples who spent 1000s of years in the sun having darker skin. that alone indicates that evolution exists in this world, so why would it only apply to humans....why not children as well...as to the more specifics, I'll hit you up on facebook to talk about that...

Another great analysis with supporting citations from the books. I don't like having to say this, but since it's been brought up; to the other KZbinr mentioned below (ahem)...when you post a 3-5 minute GOT video EVERY DAY and start reposting older videos as new videos, people DO notice. As much as I wish you two could drop daily videos like this, I realize that these episodes can take weeks to make because they are well thought out with supporting citations. I literally just watched this 3 times in a row to digest all the info. When channels start doing the like / comment / subscribe routine to win a $50 Amazon giftcard, I stop watching and don't look back. It's an insult to my intellect. I respect channels that put up a Patreon link and aren't click-baiting for views every day, just to keep their channel afloat. (off my soapbox now)...again, great video.

D&d have cut and changed so much of the original work that the two versions have diverted and will end in different manners. I think it will come down to magic is a real force in the world and that Bran and arya are on black or blood magic , death, certain side. From the show this might be something to consider because of the scene where the children stab the man in the chest with dragon glass to change him. The surrounding areas barely had any snow until the white walkers were made. Maybe that's why there is so much snow now

exactly...the threat that they pose is to the whole world, not just the North or Westeros...a winter night that never ends would kill everyone...there would be no food...plus GRRM specifically said that if someone thinks the story is only about Jon and Dany, they missed 90% of the story

yeah jon and dany are might be the most important puzzles but they are just pieces of the whole picture, and every great hero needs a equally grood villain and the others are just that. no other villain in the story so far was as great as dany and/or jons destiny seems to be, except the others. and i am just so sad the show missed a bunch of amazing storylines. i think in the show its gonna be from point A to point B with jon and dany being fron and center with others just the side cast.

the most upsetting part about it is they appear to be doing that, and that is exactly what George said he didn't want...I don't think its their fault tho...I strongly believe there are very strict non-disclosure clauses in the contracts that forbid them from destroying his future book sales by spoiling everything

I'm in the process of viewing all of your previous videos. You're making a strong case that aegon / young Griff is the son of rhaegar and Lyanna. my question is of about Danys prophecies. Beware the mummers dragon.I previously thought that meant false dragon, that Griff is not a targaryen at all, but a pretender to the throne being used by very rich men to gain power through him as a figure head. Are you saying Griff really is aegon, son of lyanna and rhaegar, and the prince who was promised? Will the show say that jon is prince that was promised, son of rhaegar and Lyanna? the Mummer's Dragon seems to be Aegon, but I don't see it as sinister as most people do...I see it as a warning that if she sits there looking pretty and planting olive trees in Meereen forever, Aegon will take the throne without her instead of with her...and definitely be careful when talking about our theories elsewhere...people get crazy when you try to explain to them that you don't believe in the gospel of R+L=J

I've also heard the theory that the children caused the doom, broke the arm of dorne, and also they attempted something at the neck creating the swampy conditions. also the crannogmen are there, a connection to the children. i love the one two combo you guys provide.( I know my lady is not a guy) i never really thought of the children being all over planetos. i always assumed the andals had their roots, first men theirs. is there evolution in planetos?

the way I see it, there must be evolution for regional looks to exist (ie Andals vs Ghiscari)...without evolution, everyone would have similar features, regardless of where they're from, just like in our world

The Order of the Green Hand i understand evolution in our world. but this world didn't provide dragons or shade of the evening. i understand the diverse cultures on planetos. what I'm trying to figure out if evolution exists on planetos. we get origin stories on v cultures but not of evolution. we always go back to Lucy. who do the children go back to, andals, first men etc.....

That much is unclear, but even in medieval times in our world, people weren't traveled enough for evolution to even occur to most people...and even if you were, traveling was so dangerous that you most likely wouldn't have had time to watch the birds and notice minor differences in the same species of birds in the different places you went, and then spent years studying the differences so someone could conclude that natural barriers to gene mixing result in regional differences within the same species....I guess that maybe someone would figure out that those people who live in warm, sunny places have darker skin that developed as a defense mechanism for skin damage over 1000s of years of high levels of sun exposure

Green hand. would you consider doing a video about qoren halfhand and davos seaworth, whom also has a halfhand? They are both associated with Jon. Davos tells us that it was a punishment given fairly to him from stannis for smuggling. Is it possible that qoren was also a smuggler before joining the brothers? if so, whom or what did he smuggle from KL?

I've always thought about this. The Old Gods being represented by the Weirwoods with many different faces. It seems obvious. Then add the whole skinchanger aspect, and you have people literally wearing many faces. There is a reason that it's considered an "abomination" to skinchange a man. Also, the Faceless Men's creed, "All men must die". To their greatest foes, the children, this is true. "All men must serve" is true as well if they're forced to do a skinchangers will.

the order if green hand i just ran across another theory it also has me fascinated what if jagen is raegar what if he has been a faceless man in hiding. jagen picks aryia out quick he nurtures her and protects her. he teaches her to fight lyanna and aryia have many similarities in looks and spirit. for him seeing her would bring back feelings of love he had for his beloved lyanna. i think its a great theory.

Thank you so much...unfortunately it's not going to happen....we tried, but there were too many BIG things that we couldn't agree on, and by the time we narrowed it down to what we could agree on, it was going to be a nothing video...it was a great experience, but it is hard enough to get the two of us (me and Lady Green Hand) to agree...adding a third person to the equation turned the time where we were supposed to be scripting into debates...he's a great guy and we'll probably try to collab on something else in the future

I know you mostly look into book theories but do you ever get the feeling at least in the show that Arya isn't the one being trained, that in fact the waif is at the end of her training? Jagar tells Arya that no one is allowed to kill someone they know shouldn't that apply to the waif? Who knows Arya. Also the faceless men are selective in who they kill granted Arya knows things that can threaten the house of black and white but the waif has an obvious vendetta and they're supposed to give up their former identities the waif hadn't it shows when she reacts to Jagar saying yes to killing Arya that doesn't sound like no one completing a mission. It seems pretty personal to me.
