That little creature that served as a shuttle taxi driver in episode 2, I think is the same kind creature that was in the Ewok movie, Battle of Endor, which he was a companion of the human Noah, and befriended Wicket and Cindel. It is nice that there is a bunch of subtle easter eggs in this series.

The kids acting are great, the backgrounds look good, the story is a kids adventure. It very much is like goonies in space! Great job so far, hopefully it continues and becomes as good as Andor. I am really enjoying SC! After so many disappointments from Disney/Lucasfilm, finally SW fans get a series that they can enjoy without dreading bad writing or acting. The cast is superb and the characters are well written (reminiscent of old school Disney pirate movies mixed with 80's children adventures). I am looking forward to learning more about the mystery behind the world that the kids are from as well as the larger story behind the presence of pirates in the SW universe. I found myself mesmerized by the immersive environs - planet, spaceships, and pirate spaceport. This series is the perfect counterpoint to Andor - fun, magical, youthful vs. serious, dramatic, mature.

Having lesbian mother's in a star wars film should not even be bothersome, so what if there is gay/lesbian characters... that should not be considered woke. What should be considered woke is how it is written into the story shoving a unnecessary message that has nothing to do with the overall arc of the story... its a universe of aliens. Aliens could be sexual, bi sexual, so on. Look at certain animals insects and so on in the world we live in. It not what the character is but the way the story is written and etc... there can be strong female protagonist and still it wouldn't be woke... I feel this generation has abused what woke supposed to mean.

I'm honestly surprised you enjoyed it so much. I turned it off the moment I saw all the tired tropes being thrown at us through the casting choices alone. Disney has this habit of trying to break stereotypes, which can have value in broadening what boys and girls think they can be. But they’ve fallen into doing it the same exact way every time, to the point where it’s become its own trope, forced and completely disingenuous. Boy = Insecure and incapable, reduced to a caricature of weakness Girl 1 = Capable and tough biker-girl Girl 2 = Taking on a traditionally male interest/hobby/job, in this case mechanic The moment I spot even a trace of this nonsense, it’s a hard pass for me. It says everything I need to know about how the creators view their audience, and frankly, I’ve had enough of that mindset.

The show is fine. Not going to help re-energize the franchise though. What they’ve done to Luke, Han, Boba, Obi-Wan, Lando, Thrawn, and other fan favorite legacy characters is just too much damage to care about what happens next with their future releases. Jango and Boba were the characters that got me into Star Wars when I was a kid, and what they’ve done to Boba these past few years is beyond disrespectful and unforgivable. How they’ve treated Temuera after he spoke out about it is even worse. Ghosting Boba in Mando S3, all 3 Seasons of The Bad Batch, and now the Mando movie. SMH They’ll most likely give us a Bo-Karen series than giving us more Jango or Boba content, the reasons why Mandalorians even exist in Star Wars. The Mandalorian still should’ve been about Boba imo. Boba finding a change of heart after connecting with Grogu and having a similar bond that he and Jango had while giving us flashbacks of Jango and Boba before The Clone Wars would’ve been so much better than Mid Djarin.
