Get ready for heavy snow and strong winds in this winter adventure.
Gear List for this Adventure :
After receiving countless messages from viewers about supporting the channel through Amazon, I have begun using Amazon Affiliate links in the Adventure Videos and if you choose to purchase one of these products via these links I will receive a small commission which will help fund future honest reviews and adventures.
The channel remains as it always was, 100% Agenda Free with no sponsored videos, no paid reviews, and I don't care if you purchase these products or not; you won't find affiliate links in review videos only in adventures.
I'm going to do my best to put gear lists into all of my videos since everyone is asking for them all the time.

That's awesome Greg! The outdoors is definitely soothing for the soul. Things slow down and you have time to enjoy the sunrise, the sunset, animals doing their thing, the smells, the feeling of the wind, the sounds. It truly is a therapy like none other. Hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, all great ways to get outdoors as often as possible and enjoy the good things in life nature has to offer. Cheers!

FYI Luke, 1st thanks for the video! I needed a coffee break From an era you're just a tad young to remember, "Broken Arrow" was Also Viet Nam war open mike code to bring all assets to a location, usually aircraft. It ment a flier or ground unit was down and about to be or was being over run by hostile forces. Like calling in artillery right on top of your position was called "danger close", for no margin of error.

We are waiting on a 'serious' lake effect snowstorm off of Lake Ontario to start today in which we are supposed to get upwards of 20 inches of snow from. Combined with some winds of +25mph and the sub-artic temps we have been experiencing (+20* to -27*) and watching this video, it almost makes me want to get out my old 4 season tent and set it up in either the back yard or woods behind the house and do a winter weather overnighted myself!! Only things stopping me are a) haven't been feeling to good for the last few days (not covid, just regular flu like symptoms) and b) because of it, wife won't let me( don't want her getting mad at me). And you know the saying...'happy wife, happy life's, lol. Thanks for bringing us along. See you in the next one.

@@josepheller8395 completely agree with you. While I'm more into the overlanding aspect with my vehicle fully set to comfortably sleep inside, I have untested winter gear, and no experience at winter camping. So, definitely didn't want to camp somewhere with no cell reception, and to have over a foot of snow dumped on me overnight as my first winter camping experience. Been 2 weeks since that storm hit, had another one hit last week, and another one this weekend. I will be calling in this one though, but in an area where it's only calling for a few inches, with no high winds, and where I have cell reception just in case.

It’s really weird how the weather, over time, in these mountains have changed so much. I live just on the other side of the mountain into Tennessee and I remember as a kid we use to always get quite a few decent snows through out the winter, now I’m lucky to get a single decent snow. I love the snow, just being out in it, the surreal lack of noise, the calmness it brings… but sadly we never seam to get a whole lot anymore, but I still get to enjoy it vicariously through your videos, and it’s cool just seeing the difference in weather just an hour or 2 away. My last good snow we had was mid December 2018, got 14 inches of snow. Every other snow since has been 6” or less and very few and far between. Occasionally if a snow storm happens during a couple of my days off I will make the trip to the Tn/Nc border up in the mountains to enjoy it.

As a small child I went every weekend with my grandparents to our cabin in the M.N. Woods. They turned me loose in the morning with my babysitter, a large dog. In the winter it looked just like this. Thinking of it now, it’s quite amazing they would turn a 5 yr old loose in the woods. I would build “houses” & “forts “. When the bell rang through the woods for lunch, the dog started barking and off we went to the fire and hot lunch. I can’t imagine nowadays letting a 5 yr old into the deep woods alone with only her dog. Great way to grow up.

So I’m watching you approach the camera through virgin snow and think, wait… how did he get the camera set up without leaving footprints? Not only did you backtrack to get the shots, but did you also go off trail to keep the snow clear? Props to you!

Just gorgeous countryside - the white pristine snow, the beautiful evergreen conifers, the ground and fields covered in clean white snow. Just beautiful. I was amazed how hard you had to work on this hike...and then to think you had to do it twice because you were filming. Thank you for the extraordinary effort. Just so awe inspiring. Much respect for all your hard work and efforts.

Ive always loved the out doors. But after highschool i was just to busy with work. Then i started a family and just never had time. I was always somewhat depressed and stressed out. A year ago i came across your channel and your personality and kindness and just happiness made me want to get outside again. So thats what i did. I made time. Took the family with me and onces a month (roughly) we go camping. Just over the weekend nothing crazy and i have to say i feel really good. The quiet time, the peace, the nature is just relaxing. Its helped me in many ways plus my daughter loves it. So thank you. It turns out the simple things is what i needed to be happy. Your the man and im thankful you make these videos.

Thank you, Luke. Going through a very difficult time now for me, so having your wonderful outdoor winter adventure was soothing. I was considering the Una tent but after your review it's a deal breaker for me. Thank you! Do you ever bring a snow shovel? Also snowshoes? Really nice winter snow hike. Brought me peace today.

Living in Michigan, I know how challenging this hike must have been or you, however, you made it look almost effortless. I envy you your physical strength and stamina. This has got to be my favorite video of your so far. Also, being a 57 year old female I will definitely be avoiding the funky folgers.😀

I used to live in Grand Rapids and worked at a little old hospital in Muskegan. Loved taking trips up north for blueberries, in season, the little booths with a sign: “$2 a box. Put money is the jar.” We would eat a box and save a box. The good folks of Michigan turn into road devils on the way home, after work, heh, heh…They just want to get home. Miss it and think of it often. Texas

On second thought, this entire set of gear is top notch. In my opinion it's the very best set of gear you could have brought and I'm going to mirror this selection myself. Considering how cold it is I really hope you brought plenty of coffee 😊
