I was a US Marine on deployment in Okinawa, Japan during 9/11. Joe Dirt was our anchor. Everyone there could relate. I grew up reading autotrader and it turns out, everyone of all races did too. I had friends from all over the country and we had a common ground. It sounds like you're dismissive of it now, but the art you created was all that some of us had at the time. Thank You.

Woah, David is really down to earth. Immediately comes out with the dad issues, respect
@ComeAlongKay9 ай бұрын
He grew up pretty poor. His mom would drop them off in the desert with guns and they’d just walk back and shoot at stuff. That was like free babysitting I guess. And he landed on his neck and she didn’t take him to the doctor and he’s got neck issues from that. You really don’t want to hurt yourself when you’re poor if you can help it. And his assistant who pretty clearly had some kind of condition tried to kill him. That is a crazy story. Could have easily been a Phil Hartmen situation but he managed to fight his way out of it against a much larger person. He’s lucky he awoke so he even had the chance to fight back. Possibly a scrappy upbringing gave him enough fight.

He’s super good at sounds so if you ever want his podcast with Dana Carvey, do you get the best of both worlds: David Spade with the sound effect, and Dana Carvey with the impressions. And they are so quick witted. They have one podcast where they will talk with a guest and basically interview them on their whole career, I don’t find it particularly funny. They have another podcast, where you see their faces and they talk about current events. That’s the one I recommend. The other one is really desperate, listening, it’s blacked out. I think the one you need to listen to watch is called fly on the wall

In almost every interview, the topic of marriage will always come up at some point which Spade feels compelled to defend. Spade is one of the few men whom, out of either fatigue of talking about the topic or defensivness, has to point out how all the marriages he can think of seem very unhappy versus look at a bigger truth: most people are unhappy regardless of what circumstance you put them in.

Theo you're able to shine a light on your guests that we (at least I) don't typically see otherwise. Another great episode, Spade is a really cool dude it seems. Keep it up. 1 milly on the way. Also, whoever did the camera work on your merch promo at the beginning killed it.

Could you imagine if Chris Farley was still alive and Theo had him on this show?? The whole set would have been destroyed within 5 minutes.

Heard Farley's laugh when I read this. He'd love on Theo and sit on his lap and cuddle him.

Theo- Been a fan for last 5 years. Truly enjoy the honesty and it got me through a few deployments. Hope you can find a comedic partner to match your talent. Gang Gang 😎🇺🇸

Did he say … de-odd-errant on that commercial?. That’s why I love him. Making his own slang. 💕

It’s interesting how I just watched David Spade Nothing Personal comedy special on Netflix then pressed ‘More Like This’ and out of the 15 titles decided on Theo Von Regular People and enjoyed it. Right after watching came to search him up on KZbin and this is literally the first thing that pops up. Coincidence or what? or more like great marketing 😉 Keep doing what you guys are doing spreading love and laughter. Stay fun!

Theo: "I vomited out of my *own* mouth." - No shit? I thought for a second that you vomited out of someone else's mouth! 🤦
