It's really a combination of "Old Time Music", and Blue Grass, Bluegrass is kind of (New Time Music), Bill Monroe and the bluegrass boys really put the fine point on ''bluegrass", Monroe and Elvis sort of evolved along during the same time frame. Bluegrass really was kind of "New-Grass" though like everything else it stood on the shoulders of giants. Strings is refreshing, his hard fast driving picking is distinctly reminiscence of Doc Watson. All should bear in mind Strings was a hard rocker in his teen years, but then he grew up, ha, maybe I'll get there.

He's only 31. I love his covers, he picks some great ones and does them all justice. Especially GD songs. Billy and the Kids set in Hawaii he spoke of was amazing. Red rocks show too. Billy is juuust such an amazing picker..!! 2 of my favourites songs are, :- "Dust in a baggie," and "Tennessee stud". Awesome picking and great vocals too, and that set he did with Tommy Emmanuel live on stage playing "guitar boogie" and "Working man blues."... Goodness me, they can play..!!
