Dude I almost died on a Gravitron too! The guy who sits in the middle & controls the fucking thing dropped his sprite bottle full of whisky. (sprite ain't brown) When he chased after it he got caught in the gravity & sucked against the wall just like the rest of us leaving nobody to stop the ride. We were in there for 25 minutes before someone stopped it from the outside. Multiple people were carried out, a girl yacked, people were crying, the operator left in an ambulance because he apparently did a header into the wall... I was 13 so it was tremendous. Great times!

In hindsight I can't believe we would go to those carnivals and put our lives in the hands of America's brightest minds. I damn near died on some pirate ship ride that would swing back and forth like a pendulum. I was on the very end and my seat didn't latch... it took every goddamn muscle in my body and possibly even some divine intervention to keep myself from getting flung out of the ride on the up swing side. Great story. I too have been shocked. I am an Electronics Tech, worked on high power transmitters for years. Got on the high voltage side and the safety device called a crowbar was slow to shunt. Got 6700V from my right hand crossed my upper inside arm, down my right side crossed again into my left leg and out both feet. 3rd degree burns on 5 sites. It truly the rudest thing that has happened to me.

Do you know are any stronger voltages common? A buddy of mine hit a buried cable with a jackhammer on a demo site. I know the full three-phase transmission, before it's stepped down to residential, is a little higher than 7000volts (all three phases). So, it would depend on how many phases, and which side of the transformer.

My best friend died by electrocution last month. He had a construction job, standing on wet ground, held a construction cord. He died in his father's arms I heard. Right there on the job. They brought him back, however, was on life support for 2 days off and on in the hospital. I received the text that day when he died. No one was prepared for it. He was a healthy 21 year old. No drugs, no alcohol. He was an energetic, youthful man with so much ambition in his life. Always happy, always positive. It was a month ago and it still doesn't seem real. He had 2 kids. Rest in peace Draven, you will be missed. I'll see you in the next. I'm glad you're okay Theo. Be safe everyone.

My boss got hit by 480v and he was grounded to a metal light fixture on a 12’ ladder…at that voltage the current seizes your muscles instead of pushing you away so he had to consciously kick himself off the ladder or else he would’ve died Dude just fell 10 feet to the ground and then the worse that happened was he got a rolled ankle.
