So if the ball bounces on opponents side then hits the side cage is this a point?
@steinhalvorsen_ Жыл бұрын
Could someone please help confirm whether or not I understood this correctly? At 1:53 it sounds like when an opponent hits a ball that has a trajectory towards the back glass (without a bounce first), it's out, whether you volley it or not. Yes? Wouldn't this be hard to judge when hitting hard volleys at the net - whether or not it would actually hit the glass or not if it wasn't volleyed? Or is it perhaps only when receiving players volley behind the service line or something?
@ThePadelSchool Жыл бұрын
Hi Stein! I think there’s a form of misunderstanding involved here. A ball can’t be called in/out just based off of it’s trajectory. The ball has to hit the fence/glass directly for it to be called out. Depended on if you learn to read the ball trajectory and react accordingly, you can then know wether to volley a ball (even before it has bounced) or leave it and let the opponents ball/shot hit the fence/glass directly and therefore you win the point. And yes, it’s much easier to learn which balls to leave and which ones to volley, the further back you are on court. Hope that helps!

Question regarding Rule 9 of Padel: Is a net first service repeated or considered like faults? Note, Padel Regulations 2021 do not tell us how to deal with Net First Service. It states that Let first services is repeated, and, Let/Net second services repeated. 9.2.b "If there is a “let” on the first serve, it should be the complete point repeted" 9.2.c:"If the “net” or “let” is on the second serve, the server will have only the right to repeat the second serve"

I was playing last night and something unusual happend. I served and the ball touched the top of the net and passes the other side.The first bounce was inside the diagonal box of the opponent(as it should) but the second bounce was outside the court(from the door,maybe because of the spin it got this weird trajectory). If I am not mistaken when the ball after a serve touches net and the ball touches the fence after the first bounce and before the second bounce, it is called fals serve. But what happens in my scenario that the ball just bounced outside?

@thepadelschool, what are the rules for serving order and returning? is that like tennis as well?
@maartenriep2 жыл бұрын
I Have a question about serving via the net. When you serve and the ball touches the net cord and then bounces on the service court, is that already a let serve? And what about a serve that touches the net cord, then bounces on the service court and then (before the second bounce) hits the fence. Is that also a let serve? Or does the ball have to bounce twice on the service court or hit the glass after the first bounce to be a let serve? I noticed that not everybody is interpreting this rule the same way.
@Mollelarsson2 жыл бұрын
It is not automatically a let if the ball bounces inside the service box after hitting the net. It is as you explained with your second example, the ball needs to; 1: hit the ground inside the proper serve area & 2: then either hit the ground again or the glass panel. Only then is it considered a let. If it doesn't bounce inside the serve area, or the second bounce hits the fence, then it's considered out, and you only have the 2nd serve left.
