This is the best gear review video I have seen. No unnecessary jabbering, detailed examples with and without drums. You got a new sub here.

Great review, helped me with my purchase. Got one of these on ebay for £50, which to my mind is a steal.

Thanks for this demo, I really like NUX pedals the design and features are a lot better than most other Chinese budget pedals, because NUX quality, design & TSAC technology makes them better in my opinion so a bit more expensive. I’ve seen the ace of tone in past but never really took much notice of it until this video, I’ve thought of getting a Morning Star for a while and know the Tubeman is a decent TS style drive, I didn’t realise the AOT featured both which is quite appealing to me now, I possibly might pick one of these up soon, so thanks for enlightening me. I already have the NUX Tape core deluxe which I love, a great pedal for a low prices considering all the features and edit ability it has for £65 new shipped, also have the Mod core deluxe which is great and has some really good sounding modulation fx, used to have the Komp core compressor which was decent and worked well but sold it a while ago as I have stopped using a compressor on my board when playing live. Thanks for your video.

Nice job! Cool pedal. I'd be interested to see how this compares to the JHS Shotgun. Keep up the good work.

Are we going to get an Ace of Tone vs King of Tone shootout?
@ThePedalGuy3 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

@@ThePedalGuy It seems like the Ace is going for a similar thing. The TPS guys talk about the TS/BBer -like circuits in KOT on a sept 4 2020 video about Automatone at about 15:00.

Thumbs up on the vid just for pronouncing NUX correctly!

Interesting but really wanted the clean tone without the pedal to be heard here and there. Helps to judge an overdrive pedal IMO.

Cool pedal but I'd rather have the two pedals separate. I'd worry about the relays in the dual which allow you to switch the order without having a 2I/2O configuration. There's a reason why other builders avoid them (Wampler, Jetter, Analogman, Truetone etc) - they mess with the bypass tone. Already have the Morningstar and it's very good. The Tubeman is only another 50 bucks so yeah, no-brainer!

I'd have expected the TS side to be lower gain than the bb side.

Individually these pedals are approx 65% of this pedal. Seems like a "money grab" to me. I Iike the design, but for the price, I can buy the tubeman, morning star and another NuX pedal of similar price. I think that's what I'd do if I was in the market.
