If you're ever interested in a new series that gets better and better, then I recommend Ash vs the Evil Dead. There are 3 movies, Evil Dead 1 and 2, Army of Darkness and then the series. The series has a lot of gross out humor, but it's still good.

The reason they aged so much between S3 and S4 is covid. They had just started filming S4 when lockdown happened. The younger gang of kids (Max, Mike, El, Will, Dustin & Lucas) are meant to be in 9th grade here.

Yep he original plans was to shoot season 4 and 5 back to back then seoasn5 is delayed because of the writers and actors strikes. Without COVID S4 would have been out in 2021and Season 5 would have been out in 2022 or 2023

This season uses the satanic panic around dnd well. They use tons of 80's references throughout out all the seasons, but this one is one of my favorites considering it was a real thing and this show uses DnD as a main story device

Of course, it would have been good if you already knew horror movies like Nightmare on Elmstreet and Halloween. This season is totally inspired by Freddy Krüger. Also, the big theme this season is depression and guilt. If you take all the supernatural out of the show, the scenes you see describe pretty well how depression works. Vacna's nightmare land is actually the world of thoughts of depressed people. Max is the person here who doesn't deal with her depression either. She denies herself to her friends and therapist. She distances herself from her friends, has broken up with Lucas and lives only in her own depression. That's how depression works, and if you don't beat it, it can lead to death. In real life by suicide, here in the series by Vecna.

The relationship between Steve and Dustin is awesome. My best friend growing up has a little brother that’s like 4 years younger than me get than us and me and him were really good friends. One time when I was probably 17 the kid calls me crying so I went over to his house and dude had fallen off his bike and gotten his finger caught between the chain and sprocket on his bike and split his finger right down the middle about halfway down. I couldn’t get ahold of my best friend or his mom and had to take him to the hospital and stayed with him while the doctors were talking about amputating his finger. I finally got ahold of his mom and brother but that bonded us and we were best friends after that too.

About character's development of El I do feel that could be correct. I mean, El did have a tough personality but she never was the leader of the group, she never interect that much with other than them, and she never has been in such a social situasion as school. So I can buy that she felt shy or unconfortable. Plus all the "cool" things she did to save her friends, she did it because she was the only one that could do that, the only one who has powers. And now, she may be feeling like she is nothing without her powers and feeling depress for Hopper. But I do think Will did not progress as a character. Like, first season he was totaly gone and almost dead, then he was in that unconfortable situasion with his friends leaving him aside, but last season he was part of the group and had the connection with the monster and end moving out of town. But now he has El who knows about his trauma and they both were dealing with problems but they never get closer to support each other. Hope he has a grown up as a character for next seasson and a better haircut

I don't know when they had this idea but the coolest thing to me about this season is that the connection of the characters to reality is music. Maybe the writers noticed that making an 80's show automatically turns soundtrack into such an important part of storytelling as the seasons were coming out that they found a new way with this new villain to take it to the next level.

One of the things that made Stranger Things such a big hit was the pacing of the episodes. By the end, you just had to see what comes next. I get a similar urge with your style of reactions. You're the first reactors (out of dozens) I've seem who DON'T go, "😭 I can't believe Mike and Dustin didn't skip the after-school activity _all three of them_ are a part of, just to _watch_ Lucas throw a ball into a laundry basket." Seriously, BOTH of Lucas' parents were there, which is far more than anyone at my school could expect. When I grew up, asking your friends to skip their after-school activities to watch (and not participate in) someone else's would be absurd. The transportation issues alone would stop most. When I watched this episode, I thought, "if it's reasonable to ask Dustin and Mike to skip Hellfire club to _watch_ Lucas sit on the bench (as he had done all season), it's just as reasonable to ask Lucas to skip sitting on the bench in the gym to _participate_ in Hellfire club with his friends instead of the psychos he fell in with."

The cool part about Vecna is that is an actual costume old school best quality the actor had to spend hours a day outting it on the only CGI was the moving vines on him and he actually does the voice no auto tune, and yes there is a lot if references to Freddie Kruger in this show him being in the mind of his victims and his long hand instead of long nails and his burnt looking face and Dustin mentions Freddie Krueger later and the actor who plays the older Victor is the actual actor who played Freddie Kruger. That's all i am gonna say about that I don't want to spoil anything

Little fun fact: The "Russia" scenes were actually filmed in my home country Lithuania. Probably because we have alot of soviet architecture left over. And some of the prison guards that you see are lithuanian actors.

My opinion of this show by season: (Scale 1-10) Season 1 - 8; Season 2 - 8.25; Season 3 - 8.5; Season 4 - 9.5 That leaves a 10 for season 5. Let's hope. I believe Steve was supposed to be gone in season 1 but too many liked him so... In the end, your wish is like a fantasy land with rainbows and unicorns. You do remember this is Stranger Things? I suggest you strap in a prepare for the rollercoaster ride now that you're at the top of the 1st hill.

If you didn't already realise it, Lucas led the basketball team to Hopper's cabin where he lived with Eleven. It's very far away and since El moved to Cali with the Byers and Hopper was presumed dead the cabin was abandoned and ruined, since they didn't fix it after the Mind Flayer attacked in S3. I've been obssesed with this show since I started watching it in 2016 and I've dissected it so many times, so it's interesting to see the first time reactions of the General Audience, I was wondering why you didn't pick on so many details I always see. Also this is the first time I watched one of your videos and now I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of this season lolol 😂😂

Satanic Panic was a real thing in the 80s. If you listened to heavy metal or played D&D there were religious groups and people that thought those things made you evil or bad. There is a great documentary about the West Memphis Three called paradise lost where these teen kids were convicted of murder based on liking Metallica and being different. It’s crazy. The Eddie character is meant to represent that.
