"Morningside" is a brand new original by Katie, Julianne and our friend John Meyer, and Emmett helped with the arrangement. The essence is that there is hope beyond the problems of this world, and it was fun to write an uplifting song for a change!
We are also so excited to be heading back to Europe earlier than planned, and we would love to see you there!

Julianne, what an amazing job you have done singing this beautiful song written written by you, Katie and Johnny with beautiful harmonies from Katie and Matt plus the musical magic of the band including your mandolin, the amazing Emmett on the Dobro, Katie's fiddle, Mom on the bass, Matt on the guitar and a wonderful solo by Ellen on the Banjo and check out the funny outro at the end, Ellen can really run for a new Mom. Another great original song destined to become a bluegrass classic! Also very catchy; already on the second listen it stayed in my head all morning! Sung well by Julianne as lead vocal, but with Katie and Matt's harmonies it reaches very high levels! Not to mention the a cappella ending: absolute perfection!!! 🎶 The solos, as always, are beautiful; I really appreciated Julianne and Ellen's, perhaps because you don't hear them often. Speaking of Julz: her mandolin technique is improving day by day. Then, the key change with the entry of Emmett's solo is truly special. In short: another masterpiece! ❤

Though I'd had the blessing of enjoying the Patreon release I received an even greater Blessing listening today. I'm 77 and have generally been blessed with good health. However, earlier today I experienced what felt like a fading of life as I was drying off after stepping out of the shower. I sat down and praised God for his love.
