You have successfully described how I feel about God. Granted I was never a pastors Son but had an overbearing Christian Mother and an Emotionally absent Father. My youth pastor was unfaithful to his wife, the replacement pastor judged me harshly because of my undiagnosed autism. I just never thought God was anything as described in the books even when i vehemently believed my concept or idea of God was never just some man in the sky. It always sort of aligned with as you describe God being now.

I think the difference between magic, energy and spirit is that the spirit is someone, instead of something. Same happens between universe and God. One time a friend, who's not a believer told me that, even though she strongly believed in the universe, she thought that at least I had someone to relate to. I believe that every one of us have an unique journey to God, even if we have pastor parents. I mean, everyone should know and experience God in a personal way and not from others. I am sure that this abandoned state could lead you to your own experience with God. You know, faith is abandon too, as you put it. But you surrender yourself to the truth before you. While I was watchikg your video I was thinking: to what truth are you surrendering? Thanks for sharing your thoughts and to let us share ours. I am sure you will find what you are looking for. Have you ever checked out Monism as a belief system based on reason and logic. It does not involve magical powers or require faith. It requires you to examine facts, use logic, and find wisdom by understanding first that there is only one substance in the universe and it doesn't require deification. All divergence from that singularity are only modalities of that singular absolute. It allows you to understand why things must be as they are because that is the nature of the absolute. It does not require some prime mover. It does not neglect the concept of the soul and being.
