suggestion when talking about "hacks" like cutting the vamp it would be useful to show the actual shoe especially if she's cutting it on camera, but at the very least the end product would be good.

Her name is so fitting, she is so ethereal and joyful, I feel like I could listen to her talk forever!

Do you mind giving a closer shot of the shoes next time? During the whole video, Amanda seems to be talking to Josephine rather than showing us what she does to her shoes. Even adding a picture in the end would help tremendously. Thank you.

Glad she brought up her fave, Glisse! It’s a nice shoe, very lovely elongating, elegant shoe. 👍🏼

I remember lambs wool and toe pads . Although the toe pads was slightly thick covered in fabric. I never used these but I never used those. Medical tape on each too I did used.

Girl, I know the feeling! I also have Giselle feet with short, stubby, slight taper, but more a square shaped toes! I loved Capezio Pavlova and Capezio Nicolini! But they no longer even kept the molds for either of those, ugh! I am now in Capezio Kylee. Still getting used to those. I am also about to try Gaynor Mindens soon. Great vid and tips! Btw, Pointe Shop: I am in Wichita, KS! Let me kno if ever in my area! :)

gaynors were terrible for my giselle short-toed feet :/ too narrow in the box and too tapered unless i tried the box size that was huge on my feet.. i'm wearing bloch euro balance now and i love them, they're so perfect for square toes that are short

Not enough closeups. You can stitch through the drawstrings 1/4 inch to the sides of the center front, then when you cut them, the drawstrings still work.

I’ve always wondered why some dancers sew their point shoes with floss?? Is it stronger?

All my students wear suede tips on the platform, is that not a thing in the US? Not usually as long as what she made, but still...
@noortjeb20405 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm from Europe and at my dance school everyone wears them. I see a lot of people from the US who don't use it??? I feel that my pointe shoes last longer with them than without, so I really don't get it.
@MarijeK5 жыл бұрын
@@noortjeb2040 Some pointe shoes come with suede tips, like Gaynors. And that's an American brand, so they must be aware of the phenomenon :) Weird, right? Groetjes uit Nederland trouwens!
