Can't even figure out why this wouldn't be a popular video. The project is so versatile. It doesn't have to be for recipes. It could be for handmade greeting cards as a set to give as a gift, a box filled with reasons I love you notes, or the divider could be omitted and it would be a perfect size for a hot cocoa box as a gift for a friend. So crazy to see how talented you are and how creative to be able to design and create this! Thank you for another great video!

I'm so glad you did this project!! I have a ladies social group and we've been talking about doing potluck dinners. I'm going to make one of these as a hostess gift for each lady when they host a dinner. Oh, Sherry, this box is so cute! As I watched your video, I was thinking of so many uses for such a nice storage container: photos, ATC, ephemera, note cards w/envelopes, phone numbers & addresses, birthdays, notes, craft/art ideas & instructions, and of course, recipes! With a little math, one could easily transpose the measurements to make different size boxes. Great gift and/or craft fair item. I LOVE it! Thank you for reposting this project. Sherry always says...for any season, for any reason no matter the gender. If recipes are not your thing just don't put the dividers in it. I image putting a handle or knob on top & feet at the bottom (like a mini keepsake box. This can also be used to put small gifts like socks, lip balm, hand sanitizer, mini hand cream, candy boxes 📦, jewelry, gift card, etc... Actually the top & bottom can both be used for small gift boxes. If you need it bigger just tweak the size. So many possibilities! Thank you for always sharing your love of crafting. ❤

Love this idea Sherry! You could use double sided 12 x 12 paper and then wouldn't have to line the inside of the lid to the recipe box. I think I am going to make these!

This is a beautiful Recipe Box, but I can see making and using it for so much more. I use index cards for my birthday and anniversary card lists. I put them in order by date and pull out January’s, for example, in December. I make their cards and as I finish them, tuck the card in the back. By rotating the cards, I can add changes of addresses and other information. Could do the same for Christmas cards, although I don’t know if others still send many. Once I make one of these (tonight!) I’m sure I’ll come up with lots of ideas. Lovely and sturdy box, Sherry!

I cannot imagine this recipe box not being popular! I love this, everything about it. I love the dividers too! Just a suggestion...add a plastic sleeve to one side so you can slide the recipe card in and when you're done take it out of the sleeve and put it back in the box. Keeps the card nice and makes it readable thru the plastic sleeve. Don't know if it'll work but thought you'd like the suggestion. Thank you Sherry 😊

The nice thing about recipe boxes is that they can easily be decorated and used with other things....note holders, birthday/holiday cards, etc. As Sherry says...it can be made for any body, any reason, any season! Oh.... Here's another idea. Do you know any students? They can use the recipe card holders to organize their 3x5 flash cards! I wish i had something like that when i was in college!

I use recipe boxes for everything but recipe cards! They make great boxes for photos. Die cuts, I use them to store my orbital sandpaper lol. In general they make great gift boxes as well.

I love boxes and this one is no exception, only I have a recipe box and also a binder with favorite recipes in it, so I don't need it for that purpose. However, because you have so many great tutorials, I am going to make this box and use it as a "Sherry's Papercraft Recipe Box" & keep my favorite Go-To's for Boxes, Journals, Folios, Cards & Envelopes, Rosettes.... I'll make cards with the Video Title, a brief description, maybe a list of supplies and create a QR code that I can scan with my tablet to have the video playing while I'm making it. :D I know I have a playlist right here on KZbin, but I have saved so many of them that it takes forever to scroll through all of them. This way I can just keep all the boxes together, Note Pads, etc. Cuts the search time WAY DOWN! Besides, I'm old school, I still love having a physical copy of things. I've lost enough digital pics, recipes etc. from computers & phones that have died on me. This will look great & be perfect right here on my desk for easy reference. THANK YOU SHERRY!!! 💙💙

That is really wonderful! I love all of the boxes you make. That was a brilliant idea to use washing tape to hold the sides. I have a tremor and had a terrible time getting the side to hold in the right place on a different box I made. I will definitely use this trick next time. Thank you!
