My only contact with Jock is via MCAU. And yet I took the news of his passing, badly. It was like losing a dear, dear beloved family member. It felt my heart was torn to pieces & seeing any news of his passing still teared me up. Rest in power, dear Jock. Thank you for lighting up my life & making it alright to be vulnerable.

I am so sad. I only found out yesterday about Jock's passing when I googled Masterchef Australia 2023 to see when it would be broadcasted in The Netherlands. It's still surreal. Same as Hany Hash I only know Jock Zonfrillo from watching Masterchef Australia on tv in The Netherlands. I am always following Masterchef Australia because food & drink and cooking is my passion. I have fond memories of watching him in the shows. I wish much strength to his dear family, friends and close colleagues. I am going to miss seeing more of this beautiful person, wonderful mentor and chef. Thank you for everything you brought to us, Jock!

I'm not one for "celebrities". I tend to find a lot of them get full of themselves but you never got that feeling from Jock. There was a look in his eyes that you just knew was genuine. He really cared about helping people reach their potential. My heart breaks for his friends and family. This life is a vapor. Love hard and love much because you never know when you'll hug each other for the last time.

I like that he's not just a mentor but also allowing home cooks to be themselves and what they want to be as a cook. Masterchef will not be the same without him. I'm pretty sure the whole nation of Aotearoa, NZ will miss him and will be crying as we watch him on tv inspiring all of us viewers 😆😭

I feel as though Jock was a really close personal friend, even though I only know him from this show. I am heart broken that he has passed, I send so much love to his wife and children, you have lost a beautiful man. I cried all the way through last nights episode and no doubt will again tonight and every night of this series

I'm currently watching series 14 (Fans vs Favourites), I didnt know he had died until a tribute message came on the screen after one of the episodes. I was shook, watching the show knowing he's gone is now such an emotional roller coaster. RIP Jock🙏🏾

I've never known him personally but through all the masterchef seasons I always loved his character and his passion for food. I was absolutely shocked when I saw someone share his picture in their watsapp status with R.I.P. I was unable to believe it and had to Google it multiple times to check if it was true because I wasn't ready to believe.

I posted a tribute comment last week but not sure why or how it got deleted from the Chefs tribute video... 😔 but I will post another one. From the moment Jock started being a judge on MCA, I didn't know him personally but I knew that he was going to impact people's lives whether it was contestants on MC or the viewers/fan watching. He had this genuineness and awesome sense of humor that shun through. When I was fortunate enough to receive a few replies from him via IG (even though it was brief but he always replied), that alone spoke volumes at how humble he was and was not one of those "celebrities" who didn't have time to interact with his fans/supporters. Watching this season now and reaching for my phone to drop Jock a message/comment about a particular episode/event and then I realize he's no longer physically here but I know that he would want people to continue watching what he loved doing, what he was passionate about and how he made people feel -- even if we see it through our screens. Jock, wherever you are mate -- know that you were a Superstar and were going to change/impact people's lives -- and your passing has left a huge void in the culinary world and all your family/friends...as well as your fans/supporters. You surely left your mark buddy!! Your earthly presence will be truly missed.. Please watch over your family and friends and give them the strength to get through this difficult time!! Thank you for the wisdom, Thank you for the knowledge, Thank you for the laughter and most importantly Thank you for being a light in this world!! Continue to shine bright in the heavenly skies. I was so much in pain even though i was just only a fan of Jock Zonprillo i dont know if its complete when season 15 resume its showing .i will miss jock zonprillo the rappor of the 3 host judge is so much complete to me.they were effective in dealing with each other they goes together so well.i will miss jocks kind of jokes laugh smile and even his shouting the name kind of recognizing the contestant in each elimination. Surely i know its different in season 15 i know the 2 host melissa and andy allen will miss him so much and the pain they will carry in going to that kitchen the masterchefs kitchen in their hosying stint.

Reading Jock’s book now. Just got to the end of the chapter where he accidentally kicked Madonna’s dog! It’s a must-read. I’m just so saddened by his loss. Because it is such a loss. And always, when speaking to the contestants, he would say, “ Be kind to each other”. Gone too soon. ❤️
