My Mom always liked cottage cheese and I hated it. After going through a medical crisis leaving me severely protein deficient I tried it again. It has NO flavor and a TON of protein. I now have it in my fridge at all times. Easy to add to more than you'd think.

chickpea pasta is my go to! It works fabulously well. The trick is to NOT overcook it! It will cook far more quickly than regular wheat pasta
@peppermintpsaki11579 ай бұрын
Strangely, I had the opposite result: I cooked it as directed and it was as chewy as if it was undercooked. So, I overcooked it on purpose. It was less tough but still had that non “al dente” chewiness. That’s it; I’m going back to Dreamfields 😑
@Ratking_Actual9 ай бұрын
@@peppermintpsaki1157 Probably can't get a proper al dente on chickpea pasta, it's not pasta.
@jamiel61699 ай бұрын
@@peppermintpsaki1157 Huh, I have always had it break apart into small pieces when overcooked. I'm not sure what brands you have available to you, maybe there's an extra ingredient? I've used Banza, but most often use whatever brand they sell at Aldi, which is 100% chickpea flour

Just recently found your channel & made this recipe tonight - the recipe itself was great. The best part is that it was quick to come together and didn’t make a big mess. If that wasn’t enough, your video is short and sweet. All around experience was A+. Thank you.

I am not big on the banza personally. I love Goodles cavatappi protein pasta. Good macros and great taste, texture. I sometimes add pureed steamed cauliflower to mac sauce and i love flavoring mac sauce with tony chacheres creole seasoning.

Chickpea pasta isn't bad. When it's covered in sauce you probably won't notice the difference. It does smell a little funky when cooking, I've noticed.

Power crunch protein bars (5 net carbs) for breakfast and pre-workout. Protein shakes smoothies for post workout, my fav. is 1 scoop vanilla 100% whey protein isolate, 2 heaping tablespoons of natural peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of apple butter, and table spoon of real honey...., I call it an apple pie protein shake but it's just a name. I buy my whey isolate from an industrial bakery, 15 kg bags for $200~ depending on shipping delivered to your door in a couple days, comes with a testing sheet. I pound down a shake a day but I have been experimenting on making bars, mixing different things with plain whey iso to see what happens. An interesting one was strawberry jam and iso, almost made fruit by the foot with it, I need something so it isn't so sticky.

I've had that banza pasta before and I prefer it over regular pasta as it's so high in protein! It tastes great and unless you're super picky it won't taste any different than regular pasta. I have problems with my gut being sensitive to certain things but that Banza pasta makes me feel awesome and leaves me with more energy over a longer sustained period of time than regular pasta honestly. My personal experience obviously, but would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This looks delicious. I may have to make that this week. As for your question. That is a tough one. I enjoy both, may lean towards bars a little more since they tend to be more like a candy bar. I do like the versatility of a protein shake though. It is super easy to add tings to them such as spinach, avocado, yogurt, etc. Make thick so it is like a desert.

Can't wait to try this! As far as your question, it really depends lol. I've had many different types of both shakes and bars. If this us specifically for post workout, shake 100%. For a meal replacement? Bar. If it's for what tastes best, can be a draw. I will say though, my go to for each is Optimum Nutrition for shakes, and whatever they Robert Irvine protein bar is called (its similar to Supreme protein bars, but I haven't seen them in my area for years)

Interesting channel. I prefer protein shakes to protein bars as protein bars are often about 1/3rd protein by calorie percentage. Protein shakes are usually 70% - 80% protein by calories. Protein bars usually cost more due to the convenience factor. BTW, it would be nice to see the macros in these dishes.
