And old trick passed on through generations, when screwing in metal screws (any really, including wood), do an occasional reverse turn or two (counter clockwise instead of clockwise). Especially if you feel the screw binding. This helps the screw stay within the threads of the softer metal of female side (in this case radiator body). Because of this technique, I never have the thread problem that you describe. I rarely ever get stripped threads unless there is something majorly defective (like when a bolt as bad threads).

I just installed this AIO tonight and had zero issues. Everything went perfect. I am running a 3900x. With the stock cooler my idle temp was 45c. It dropped to 24c. one thing about this AIO is that if its front mounted its coolant temp is higher almost 5-6* in terms of idle and load temp. As you can see that idle temp is 40 in front mounting as intake, if its setup to be top mounted as intake then it is atmost 33-34 and at load never goes beyond 38 at load. i think the pump has a gravity issues when mounted as front as it has to pull almost 360mm of water against gravity im using a 5900x

I know this is a year old, but your the channel I enjoy watching, so I’m hoping you see this message , anyway I’m building a build as we speak, it’s half built on my kitchen table, slowly irritating my girlfriend to the point I think I have 2 more days before she decided to “clean the table “ for me lol Anyway I have the exact same cooler. I’ve used it in the past, (believe it or not , I’ve used the single fan radiator and the triple fan radiator and I swear to you the performance difference was barely noticeable on a ryzen 7 4700g. However this build I’m using a ryzen 9 5900x, rtx3090c and the Corsair 5000airflow case. It comes with 3 front fans already installed, the option to install 3 side faced fans, and what I chose to do a push pull option mounting the radiator to the top of the case as the case allows you to mount the top fans outside of the case leaving you tons of room and it’s pretty amazing . My question is I’ve gotten several different answers on which way my fans should be facing. I have the two hoses heading to the pump at the back of the case , so you can get a idea of how the radiator is mounted, the 3 fans mounted to it are mounted where they are pulling air out of the case , blowing through the radiator and then I have another 3 connected to the other side of the radiator (outside the case , on top, a new benefit of the Corsair 5000) the outside fans I have blowing air outward so basically fans blowing into the radiator using the air from inside the case and the top outter fans pulling the air and exhausting it out the top. Is that the correct way to do it? It seems to make sense to me but people have put doubts in my mind. I have 3 front fans blowing nice fresh air into my case that air being pulled up by 3 fans mounted to the radiator on the top, and through my radiator and 3more fans pulling the hot air out of that same radiator. I then have 1 single rear exhaust fan blowing air out the back of the case, and I have two fans on the bottom of the case that blow cool air up through my rtx 3090 and then hopefully exhausted out of the back it up out the top. Any hope would be appreciated

Try doing a build in a view 51 Snow case. Mega room for 360mm or larger Radiator in the top//bottom or side position. ATX case only with that extra 3 inch back area behind the whole case to work with cable situation. Power supply goes in the back also which leaves all that room at the bottom of the case to put in 3 fans. Actually has room for two exhaust fans at the rear also that looks cool. I built in this case and installed 15 fans. I used the Corsair QL 120mm. 140mm. And 4each 200 mm fans. The 200mm fans were Thermaltake Riing 20s. I put 2 in the front and 2 up top. Great video! keep up the good work! I only want to mention 1 thing... There are a lot of ppl doing it wrong like you do, even manufacturers do it wrong.. DON'T EVER MOUNT YOUR RADIATOR WITH THE TUBES ON TOP WHEN YOU INSTALL IT VERTICAL!!! Your pump will draw air from your radiator and it's lifetime will drop drastically and it won't have it's full cooling capacity. I know it looks better this way but it's not an ideal way. A better solution would be to mount the radiator horizontal at the top of the case.

There is a backplate that goes into the 4 holes from back to front of the motherboard, unscrew the 4 screws that came on the motherboard and remove the 2 bridges. Then put in the 4 standoff screws that go in the 4 holes and take off the Intel bracket and switch it for the AM4 bracket that goes on the cooler head. After that it should fit but make sure not to put 1 of the 4 thumb screws too tightly because then it makes it unbalanced. Make sure to put them in little by little as this is the most sneaky step because then it makes you think you did it wrong when that’s not the case.

Its actually better to have the pumps at the top so they flow down as it uses a gravity system to assist the liquid flow.

But where does that single wire coming out of the pump plug in? The manual doesn't say.
@TheProvokedPrawn3 жыл бұрын
The smallest one? CPU fan header or pump header

When installing the command core, you go from holding it in place and didn't say how you actually mounted it to the case. I don't see any way to attach it 🙁
@TheProvokedPrawn Жыл бұрын
It comes with double sided sticky tape in the box. Attach that to box sides and stick it in

I really wish Corsair sold the commander core separately. What the commander core is was what I thought the commander pro was originally. I was an idiot and plugged in 6 ml pro fans into the pwm ports on my commander pro which shorted out my commander pro and my 6 ml series fans. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made with computer parts

Ooof. Sorry to hear that!

Where did you put the rgb of the pump in to? It's a 3 hole female cable...

uninstalled and reinstalled iCue? Updated controller firmware?
@DarrellRinier2 жыл бұрын
@@TheProvokedPrawn I've reinstalled/uninstalled. I've literally just updated it as I'm typing this. I've "repaired" icue multiple times. This thing is the fans are spinning, which I assume the pump is working too

im looking to do this build but with a RTX3080 STRIX. which is 318mm long. do you think there is room for the rad infront and then the long 3080 card? also can you use the RBG splitters in the commander? i have been searching for this information everywhere but cannot find it anywhere

does it matter which way the pump is facing on the cpu? for example, the corsair logo is on the side instead of upright??

@@TheProvokedPrawn nice I just installed this aio exchanged the 240, also got 2 Corsair fans 1 LL and 1 QL... I also put a fan on the inside of the radiator. 👍

If I where to install this AIO in a corsair 500d rgb se. Will that work properly? Because that case comes with LL fans. This has ML fans. Would that even work properly? They say not to mix fans. Can I also swap them out and use QL fans?
@TheProvokedPrawn4 жыл бұрын
Yes, yes, yes. No issues. You can set what fans are what in iCue.
