He is author of the bestselling book Thinking, Fast and Slow and co-author of the recent book Noise: A Flaw in Judgment. In 2013, Kahneman received the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama.

Every time I listen to or read Daniel Kahneman, it starts slowly and seems to drag on…. But by the end of the listen or book I am so sad it’s over… what a gift to the world.🙏🙏🙏

43:05 Love this explanation of how to think about systems . That it's a heuristic that is very useful for thinking about things, even though there isn't actually those systems in the brain. I think that's a good way to think about a lot of things, not just the mind. 1:25:26 I think that makes sense about reflecting at end of day because how people react to the present experience is probably a better indicator of their suffering/well-being because we live in the present 1:38:12 Lovely analogy too about bias vs noise

Kahneman has shown that experts don't have better intuition than anyone else, and that intuition is generally overrated
