Hi Rob, I have owned a H10 for 2 years and have a question. In theory, it is supposed to be moisted before strapping on. However, I noticed no difference in accuracy (well, not scientifically testing it of course) dry vs moisted (I used ECG/US gel and water or own saliva). As for the ECG testing, I use Polar Sensor Logger app (Android) and sometimes the ECG curve was pretty erratic (noisy) in the same movement free position of course but sometimes beautifully drawn. I was wondering what might cause this (moisted vs dry, cold vs warmed up (by body heat)). I couldn't really figure it out. Once I even purchased a new strap thinking that the old one got worn out or something. These days I don't bother to moisten it just put it on. Any thoughts on this? I can send you screenshots to illustrate. For HRV I use Elite HRV which detects signal quality which is 99 percent clear. As for the results, I cannot verify them of course. But it's very detailed , all the HRV components are shown.

Recently I stumbled upon some content about Fitcent HR monitors, I searched and found several very positive user reviews regarding its accuracy, but also a price. Since it is really a budget HR strap, at least compared to H10 and likes, I think it would be a good idea to test it sometime in near future. There are some of us who would sacrifice a percentage or two of accuracy for a 2 or 3 times lower price of HR strap, if that sacrifice in this case necessary. :)

@MMAFightMagazine Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the great work and valuable content you're producing! 😊 Regarding this study, I can't help but have some concerns that I wonder if you might consider addressing? If the study suggests that the H10 outperformed the holter based on the definitions employed into the algorithm; doesn't this tell us that something about the algorithm "favors" the output of the H10? I have my H10 on right now, and I'd love nothing more than to see it performing AS WELL AS the gold-standard holter; but to see results that suggest that it's significantly outperforming the holter is problematic for me. I feel that all but "proves" that the algorithm used favored the H10 in those very specific regards, as opposed to determining overall accuracy. Perhaps an issue with relying on using the R-R interval to detect the three error types as mentioned at 5:03 ? I'm not sure. I don't know if I explained my thoughts properly, but I'll have to read the study myself. May I ask if there were any apparent conflicts, financial or otherwise?

I also need some participants in a research study to clean up after my kids here at my house 😂 What I've found is that most of these heart rate straps on the market (even the very very affordable ones) are extremely accurate when testing for running. The errors tend to be when there's not a good connection to the chest but using a little electro gel is the way to go! Was that part of the testing protocol for this study?

That’s what led me to this video, because I love your new AppleWatch reviews. Hello Rob, I am an EE and have been interested in biofeedback systems due to me having Sleep Apnea. Have you ever tested the LOOKEE ECG EKG personal monitor?

With chest strap like Polar H10, can we read the memory later and use ECG software for medical analysis? What is your recommended software?

I'd be interested to see if there is any difference between the Polar H9 and H10, particularly during interval training with short duration intervals. And then if one proves to be more accurate, whether that is due to the different straps used on each device, or the devices themselves. The straps can be swapped out between the two, so it should be possible to test.

Nice Video! It would be nice to see a test on tracking sleep with H10.
