I have used both at the studio. I don't think ppl really realize how LOUD the G2 is. To give you an example, I would not be able to use it in my apartment in the evening, because I would get a noise ordinance violation, because my neighbors would think I am doing late night construction work. This is not an exaggeration. Having both devices at our studio, almost everybody prefers the Hypervolt, and if both of them are taken, they will usually wait rather than using the G2.
@skylardomine48126 жыл бұрын
I own and use both on myself and clients. Between these two models for sure the hyper volt because it's price, quiet, and settings are so useful as you do not always want it on the max level like the theragun is constantly on. Some females or even sore muscles on a 250 lbs line backer need to be approached low or mid range.

The TheraGun is simply a cosmetically repackaged $50 jigsaw, including battery and charger. The HyperVolt motor can be stressed and slowed with heavy pressure; and there is a big difference in power, quality, and durability between the HV and the Raptor. However, the Raptor is ridiculously overpriced, but of course they are targeting a much smaller market in health practitioners. And the HyperVolt is more vibratory than percussion on the two lower speeds. Good luck with either machine lasting more than 1 year with moderate/heavy personal use. And with the TheraGun only having a one year guarantee (it should have two year) this is quite discouraging and can be real expensive real quickly.
@RickLeeish6 жыл бұрын
The Theragun has a longer throw about 1/2 inch where the Hypervolt is about 3/8 and is why it feels like a harder punch. I have purchased both and kept the Hypervolt because of the 3 speeds and sound was much quieter.

Hey Joe! Great review and comparison. We tested the Hyperice Hypervolt and really liked it (review up as well) I used it in our gym and our PT uses it in a clinical setting. It was nice to hear the difference between the two in your video. Very well done!! We are going to be meeting up with Theragun at Outdoor Retailer this week, so we look forward to "feeling" the difference too. Keep up the great work! - Sean Sewell

I've used both and had both used on me. You are correct. The Theragun packs more of a punch, but do you really need a sledgehammer all the time? I find the 3 settings on the Hypervolt way better. The Hypervolt gets my vote any day of the week.

I recently bought the Theragun G2Pro (at a super discounted price of $399 as well as financing) and it’s amazing. The sound is definitely the biggest difference between the two products is definitely the sound, from what I hear from this video at least. Although the G2Pro has only one speed setting, it’s at a speed where it isn’t too intense and can easily be modified by applying different amounts of pressure. I’m definitely recommending Theragun. As far as price difference, check to see the website. I’m not sure if when I bought it, it was on a holiday sale or not.

I have the hypervolt. I can't speak for the other device don't have one. I really like the hypervolt. It's lightweight, long battery life, quiet, has three settings, it doe's a great job stimulating the areas I use it for. Not the easiest to use on yourself but you can get ok results. Having someone using it on you works better. It does grab your clothing somewhat but not a big deal. Using it on bare skin works best. Price is reasonable considering others can cost up to $600. Got my hypervolt for around $350. I would highly recommend it.

The ThereGun has too much of a punch and feels like a burn if you don't have it going straight down on your body. My wife made me return it because she didn't like the noise. The HyperVolt has a less punch but is still hard enough to do the job and has 3 speeds to make sure your happy.

I use the Vibracussor from Impac. The only down side is that it is corded but it does have 10 variable speeds and many types of attachment heads. It has been going strong for me for more than 10 years now. I was intrigued by the Hypervolt due to cordless flexibility but I don't think it will give me what the Vibracussor does.

I’m truly baffled that you didn’t compare the 3rd level of the hyper ice on your arm to the theragun. Someone who is concerned about hypervolt possibly being too weak is obviously going to want to compare the hypervolts max setting to the theragun. I now have to find another video since you ignored what is, by your own admission, the number one question asked - what is the strength potential of the hypervolt. I don’t normally complain about KZbin videos but that was just frustrating.
@WBennAshley6 жыл бұрын
The test was to compare power rather than hertz, though. Level 3 vibrates faster than theragun, not harder.

Thanks for the very helpful review! It would be nice to see a review of the TimTam vs. Theragun, as it seems like same type product but only $399.
