One of my favorite things is trying unorthodox strategies to complete specific tasks, eventually investing too much in one thing and being unprepared for any other scenario bites you but can get you pretty far. Not sure how he did that either though

I think he just went on nuclear research and stuff (maybe the navy?) very early on, not caring about the nerfs to techs that are too far ahead of time. Also alex doesn't care about research too much, he doesn't pause the game to get a new tech right when the previous is done being researched, he's willing to waste a couple days or more with his slots open... if that guy only watches his video, then my conclusion is that he gives very little importance to researching by default.

@@j.r.i.d.1805 But you CAN wait. Even an empty research box generates research points to a storage, which fills after (I think) 20 days. If you then select a research, the stored research days are subtracted from the time needed. So you actually have 20 days before you lose efficiency.

Probably. I think the whole problem with this save, besides research neglection, was that occupation was put to lowest priority in the stockpile menu.

@@LordDaret I did switch it over but it didn't help much. There was so much resistance it wasn't worth holding all the land

@@AlextheRambler That is because you also did not have MP researched, having MP4, diverting production to armored cars and making cav/armored cars hybrid MP would have helped a lot. Bringing down resistance -> brings up resources and factories. Unless I missed that :)

The fuel problem is solved with just setting the fuel priority to army first with either navy or air force second (or split). Most underrated feature in game. Garrisons should also always have equipment priority as high compliance or brutal repression gives you a good return on equipment input.

Don't forget when its past 1941 and both sides just overstack all the frontlines to the point where it's impossible to push due to lack of supply so you have to develop nukes and drop a few hundred of them just so you can push.

Go fascist as UK and garrison all the dominions to stop them from leaving, this lets you attack America very soon. They can't stop your conquest this early in the game. After capitulating USA you immediately justify on France (hope they don't go communist) and eat them and the Benelux before the Germans can (invade Denmark aswell if you got time). Attack Franco as soon as the civil war is over as that is when Spain is at it's weakest point. Ally Italy and then attack Germany. Because you've cucked them out of gaining Lebenraum and have the industry of North America and western Europe behind you it should be more than manageable to defeat mustache man. And then just keep going east until you're satisfied.

This wasn't going good up until that point lol. It just hadn't hit critical until that point. This was a case of not planning ahead and setting up badly instead just brute forcing it...until everything ran out lol. But all that CAS wasted in random places like the ocean just burning fuel. Only have that much CAS out there if you have a naval operation going. Otherwise MAYBE leave 50-100 planes on a more critical ocean tile like your transport routes to keep subs at bay with a small escort fleet if necessary not 1,000 planes. Same goes for fighters over backline territory. Just have 50-100 fighters on territories if they are trying to bomb you. Concentrate all airpower on your frontlines or important big fleet operations. Air guarding is not critical only sometimes necessary. I'm betting he only got as far as he did because each time he bashed his frontline through countries the equipment gain from capitulation kept feeding the machine until he hit Russia with that LONG haul to Moscow and all that equipment ran out about the same time his manpower did lol.

​@@leothecat9609 10/0s are the best defensive div in the game due to their low cost, high defence and high org the only supports i would add are engineer ALWAYS aa if you are having air problems field hospitals if your a country like austria hungary logistics if you are having supply issues also you dont need to research artillery and for countries like germany and russia these can be very useful do keep in mind that a 14/4 will always beat a 10/0 and that they are not very good for pushing

@@Glumbus1 First generation AA can pierce all forms of light vehicle up to the third generation (variants not included), all motorised and mechanised, and the first generation of amphibious tank.This combined with the AA boost makes it good for coast guard divisions. If you run across something beefier, use a TD division to counter. Again, this is an idea for use with your entrenched defensive divisions. You will have massive numbers of those and dont want to be using too much tungsten on them when you'll need that for tanks and jet fighters later on.
