I worked with a waiter. It was so sad. He openly told us he was waiting for his parent to die because he was going to inherit all the money. He lived with the "yolo" attitude. Spent every cent he had on crap and money he didnt have. A few years later, I heard through a mutual friend that he was angry as the parent passed away and he didn't end up getting near what he expected. He's verging on bankruptcy. It made my heart so sad. Imagine waiting for something like that? Not trying to make the most of what time you have left together building memories? I dread the day I recieve inheritance. It means I've lost someone I love dearly. I'd rather my parents around than any amount of money.
@deborahblackvideoediting8697 Жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. I lost my father three months ago, and it has been so painful. I miss him so much and always will. My mother is 82, and will leave me a modest inheritance some day that will definitely be of assistance after I retire (I'm almost 58). But I would rather never see a dime of that inheritance if my mother could live healthfully for another 20 years!

Well I think it might be important to consider not everyone gets along with their family, or even worse hates their family for whatever reason. Now if its just a case of the guy had a loving family, but he didnt care, and preferred money, yeah, thats pretty bad, and cold.
@juliawitecka889 Жыл бұрын
I can’t imagine wanting my parents to die just because of the financial inheritance. In fact, as much as I love picturing how my parents will partake in huge milestones (being there at my wedding, meeting their future grandkids for the first time, etc.), I get sad a bit that that shows how their time is running out.
@joejoe-bs6jq11 ай бұрын
I'm right with you. I tell the story to everyone that I can....my dad and I get haircuts together. We've been going to the same barbershop at the same time for 30 years....I'm in my 40s right now and dad is in his 70s. We are both nearly bald (ok, it's advanced male pattern baldness with a bit in back and the sides, and nothing on top). But, we go together to get our hair cut. Someone will ask why I don't just shave it off...and my response is because "one day, dad and I won't be able to get our haircut together." Maybe he'll be physically unable to, or he'll have passed on, but in any scenario, it's a darn shame and a loss. So, yes, it makes my heart sad that that person you referred to that waited for his parents to die is on the verge of bankruptcy. That is sad that he waited to lose the people that he loved, then is losing the things that he thought he valued and will be left with neither.

When I was in high school, I did this project where you get a fake job and have to budget. It was supposed to prepare us to live on our own. My “job” was just over minimum wage, but because I miscalculated some numbers, I ended up thinking I had WAY more money than I did. I learned my mom made more than that amount (which was low) and ended up thinking she was being cheap and had negative feelings toward her because of it. This has become my new favorite channel on KZbin. Props to you for all the hard work you put into these videos, I've been a member of this amazing society of investors for a while now, and I can't articulate how much it has transformed my life. We're not just here to earn money; we're here to uphold one another, grow collectively, and rejoice in every stride toward our financial aspirations....

I watched before work on Monday, the waiter comment was killer! I have knowledge that my wife will likely inherit 7 figures from her father, but I do not let that effect our financial lives. We have built our own seven figure net worth. We're hoping he can be around as long as possible. Very thankful that those attacks on Israel didn't happen a couple of days later or he would be there! His flight was for Saturday night, EEK! I understand wanting to see the Holy Land and I hope he can some day.

Most people dream of being millionaires, but not everyone knows how to build lasting wealth. Wealth gives you freedom from waiting for delayed trains, soulless jobs, financial stress, and more. So go out there, buy your financial freedom, and enjoy life! Have a great life! Cheers! I don't think I could retire with less than $3 million in income-producing investments. I have already achieved 60% of my goal.

Everyone needs to hear this, you need to create your own process, manage risk and stick to the plan, thick or thin, while continually learning from mistakes and improving.
@sommersalt88 Жыл бұрын
"A good process" is all that is required. When I needed a good push to assist my firm stay afloat, I went to a fiduciary CFP. So I sought for financial advisors and found someone who did their homework and helped me build my reserve from $75,000 to almost $850,000 so far, despite inflation.
@Suntz_u Жыл бұрын
I'm delighted I came across the topic at hand. Could you please tell me how I can get in touch with the CFP who assists you with your investments, if you don't mind?
@sommersalt88 Жыл бұрын
I started out with a CFP called "THERESA DANA PEEK". Her honest approach gives me complete ownership and control of my position, and her rates are incredibly affordable given my ROI. However, do your due diligence before contacting a CFP.

I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2024, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2024

Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.

Well, since HALF is hers anyway. Maybe she should divorce you and enjoy her $10,000,000 anyway she likes. Cheap, controlling husbands/men. Why can’t she have a % of it to enjoy how she wants. Make a budget TOGETHER and let her enjoy some of it - in her control. Probably a reason she feels the need to spend. Thanks Dave for telling him he needs to enjoy it instead of patting himself on his own back cause he’s so “ perfect and frugal “. Probably controls it all too and wife has little say in the matter. 😅My wife, my wife. How about WE decided. He even said He decided on the patio furniture not “we”.

The advice in the video is valuable for the typical American. What a great lesson to teach his future wealthy kids. I started investing when I was 30 back in 1998. Today, I'm 55 and have a decent $7.2M nest egg, thanks to the careful supervision of my CFP. After learning all of this, my only regret is not starting earlier when I was 25. It may not seem like much but those extra 5 years are the most important.

This is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.
@MarvishaN Жыл бұрын
I completely agree, this is why I decided to give a coach control over my everyday investing decisions. Their proficiency in research, specific knowledge, and risk management makes it difficult for them to deliver below expectations. They emphasize minimizing drawbacks while maximizing risk's asymmetrical potential. I have more than two years of investing coach experience, and I have made more than a quarter of a million dollars.

They think you've saved all year to afford it...but really you are paying cash and building memories. Invest in memories with your family that doesn't revolve around things or disclosing why or how you could buy such and such. Love it!
