I heard the first call before but it's a very heartwarming and refreshing story. The boss clearly viewed her as family and probably realized she was more honest / loyal than his own family (I could be totally wrong of course, but just based on what we can gather from the call)... Kinda reminds me of the movie Knives Out. All his kids were scheming for his inheritance and meanwhile he gives it to his caretaker because she was the only one with a genuine soul. Not sure that's exactly the case here but you can tell she is a nice person just from how she conducts herself during the call.

17:17 that’s why Dave is just the best. He may clown around a bit and poke fun but at the end of the day he will point out the core of the issue instead of taking cheap dismissive potshots at something he doesn’t understand. I know FOR A FACT that Dave Ramsey is not a gamer and it’s cool that even though he talked about how ultimately video games are escapism and a virtual hobby, they are still a valid hobby if you don’t engage in unhealthy amounts of escapism. Many people Dave’s age wouldn’t draw that distinction or speak in such good faith on something they don’t care for.
