I subbed because it is nice to see some one who tries to understands metal on both the lyrical and mental health aspects. Metal is a home for a lot of that have been thru hell mental health wise and can not find a outlet for the anger we hold inside. A crazy thing that a number of big metal names have in common was child abuse and molestation. Metal gave these people a voice and a outlet to voice their pain and trauma.

I’ll never forget hearing this song for the first time. It was near the end of my freshman year of high school and I had heard of Mudvayne but not their music. I was hanging out in the drafting room after school one day and much to my surprise, my teacher heard of them and one older kid started playing Dig through the computer speakers that were just cranked. All of a sudden BANG!!! The song came on and it felt like a bomb went off inside the drafting room. I was like “what the hell is this?” That’s what did it for me, I became an instant fan.

My interpretation of the bridge section of the video, where the black lines start spreading across Chad's face, is that it's a visual representation of someone reaching their "breaking point". His mind is cracking up and he's about to EXPLODE with rage.

It's either that buy him hating the music industry or it's the addiction taking him down
@heffatheanimal22007 ай бұрын
I like that concept. It kinda fits with how I saw it too. Late teens, coming out of an abused upbringing, the rage suppressed through childhood bubbling up as furious hate. And because self harm and suicidal impulse was what I knew it became the ultimate concept of destruction. When I hated someone I wanted to hurt them. Violence against them was one thing, but when the breaking point arrives, I tip over into making them hurt themselves. Another though I had later: someone, an abuser, a corporate manipulator, a person in power, is trying to force me to do what I dont want to do, to do that which harms me, which destroys me. Well I'm gonna turn that abound on them, make them do what they dont want, to damage or destroy themselves instead.

Bullet, by Hollywood undead. It’s the theme song for men that are “suffering in silence.” Breaking our bodies, ruining our health, and selling our time for a household that doesn’t give a shit. Upbeat happy melody, with depressing suicidal lyrics. It showcases how a beaten down person will smile and say everything is great, while they are dying inside.
