do you mean that the cat's purring heals the Cat or heals people in close proximity to the cat. maybe both. I know that the sound of purring is very reassuring. This week something terrible happened. A cat, a beautiful Calico that I had in my apartment, with 5 other cats, for two years, well, she had been in the Parking Lot for her kitten year and I thought somebody else "owned" her, but when they moved I took her in, getting her Fixed and Chipped. But when I brought in another parking lot cat, probably her own daughter, well, she rebelled and went out the door and left the immediate territory and I'd see her sometimes, and even once brought her back, but she couldn't resolve territory issues with the other cat and she moved out again. Well, the Lady from the Next Territory down the road found her paralyzed and knew I had once owned Calico Peggy and got in touch with me and came running. Well, Peggy meowed and purred when I got there. I was so glad she remembered me, but then she died. Her purring was a wonderful good bye. It hit me really hard emotionally. I really love Calico Cats and tried to make it work, but in Multicat Households, well, often the Cats see the Human Being as being outside the Territorial Struggle, or as the Primary Territory. I think Peggy purred the loudest when I wrapped her up and put her on my Bed... the Ground Zero of Prime Territory... I didn't even think about it at the time, but I'm glad it chose THERE and not the kitchen table or whatever.

@@fionawebb9668 Well, I believe that what the studies show is that the Purring helps the CATS and not whatever may be within close proximity. I recently was involved in a very sad incident. I had taken in this very pretty Calico Cat, I named her Calico Peggy, from the parking lot, and she lived with myself and my 6 other cats for two years, but then, when I took in another Parking Lot Cat, that wasn't adjusting well, Calico Peggy got out and found a new Territory down the block. She still was friendly to me, but she didn't like my Territory... it was about the other cats I had. I even tried kicking out the Trouble Maker (whom I loved, and continued to feed outside), but Peggy Stayed away. I did bring her back after a few months but she'd just go up high and now it was her who couldn't adjust... she forgot her old friends. Well, The Landlady from a few apartments down was feeding Calico Peggy and came to me when Calico Peggy was found paralyzed. She had broken her back, and then here bottom and kiddies got infected because she couldn't go to the bathroom properly. I was going to take her to the Vet to get her euthanized, but cleaned her up first, because I didn't want to anybody to see her so dirty. She was purring the whole time. I knew it was stress purring. I was more reassured by her meows at me... she knew who I was. She went into a Coma and died in the Vet's Waiting Room.

Not one, but two gorgeous boys having the temperament to do their mission as therapy kitties!!! I see that Sal has his left ear clipped, which is a sign that he was an outdoor kitty, possibly part of a community cat colony, and was TNR-ed (trap-neuter-release). But he obviously had regular human contact. Two handsome boys doing Angels' work --- the love lottery definitely hit!!! 😇🐈🙏🤗♥️

This is such a heart warning video. Roger is beautiful with such a calm and soothing temperament, then you adopted beautiful boy Salvador to join Roger helping lots of adults and children. I wish my cat Pickle is like that. He is literally afraid of his own shadow, and runs away from anyone apart from me and my family. We've had him at 9wks from family friend, so not as if he's had traumatic past. He's 4 now and perfect ginger pickle.
