I agree too, your work is so valuable. From the few paid therapists and the NHS therapy I've accessed over the last 6 years, no one has given the understanding of what is going on inside me like you do. I've always found talking about emotions and experiences so difficult, that I didn't think it was ever going to work, I felt I was reliving the experience, retraumatised each time. What you give is really powerful to help realise the blocks and clogs in the system. This nutshell is finally feeling ready to open! I've not gone through your videos from the beginning but based on those I've watched I feel encouraged to begin the journey. 💕 Truly grateful

I work for the 988 hotline and recommend this channel almost everyday. The people I talk to can’t afford therapy and have little experience with emotional intellect. I think you might be saving lives by sharing this knowledge! I just have to say this. The definition of practicing is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. I think the person who said that has never tried hard to be good at something.

LOVE that you dispelled the myth that "time heals all wounds." Time heals *some* wounds, but different strategies are necessary for different stuff. You don't put a band-aid on a bullet hole, nor do you perform invasive surgery on a paper cut. 👍🏼👍🏼

If you are a beginner to meditation, this CD will walk you through all the steps of relaxing and breathing as well as sending out the positive thoughts of love and kindness that will be returned to you. We have several CD's, but this one is a favorite that we choose most often.

Avoidance = anxiety is the opposite of my experience. For example, I developed a phone phobia after working in a debt recovery call centre as a teenager. Trying to push through calls made it worse. I implemented a policy of "I don't do phones" and insisted on text-only communication for a few years. After a few years, it was like I'd forgotten what it was about calls that scared me and was able to start doing them again. Same with public speaking: that phobia got worse and worse while at uni, but a few years later I volunteered to speak publicly because I couldn't remember what was scary about it.

I feel one the most important aspects of being a decent therapist is having a report with your clients. I am hyper sensitive about people and because of abuse look for the slightest reason not to trust them. Miss Emma as we say here in the south is one of the only people who I can relax and listen to what she says without thinking she'll try and harm me or worse.

Thank you sincerely for these videos. AS someone with limited insurance, it has been very hard finding a therapist for CPTSD. Your voice and aura are so comforting. I feel safe listening to you. I have a rumination about 27 years in an abusive marriage. I have accepted my own lack of skills in the marriage, and I wish him a healthy life because he is the father of our children. What I can't seem to process is the 27 years I "lost". He had a double life, chronic liar and cheater and had numerous affairs (girlfriends) locally and in other states. I can't get past the feeling that my whole life with him was a lie, and that I was married to a stranger for all those years, like even though I was there, the life was a total lie, that there was no relationship. I keep going back to mourning alll those years I lost. So many "traumatic events" to process, and that make no sense. I have to accept that, yes, I will never make sense of these events.

I came from a family that never resolved issues and left it like running from an emotional explosion, every man for themselves, too messed up to be able to help the others. So to me an argument was always a horrible thing to avoid. Victims blaming and judging to the point that even hearing my name was fear of more pain to come. So to say there is a lot of unresolved issues and loose ends would be an understatement. It is like not being able to function if everything is not going well as it should, with extreme reactions, worries, doubts and fears. So I have been needing this stuff of yours Emma, but have been avoiding doing so... thank you. Being overwhelmed with too much information or too much emotion from being triggered has hindered me from being me. Yet if I have a clear head I can help others see solutions.

These videos are so invaluable. I've been dealing with an intense anxiety relapse since June, and it took until this week to realize I've plateaued and day-to-day stressors overwhelm me so much because I try to fill my time with so much avoidance. I try to keep busy and a schedule with WFH, making sure I workout during the day, etc., but never sit down, identify my emotions, and just keep sputtering in this cycle. This causes me to feel perpetually anxious, and constantly reflexive. I've always been bad at labeling my emotions since pre-teen traumatic factors, but I'm so glad this is something I can actively now work on.

Please understand that Jesus loves you more than you can possibly know. He longs to have fellowship with you. The most important decision you will ever make is where you will spend eternity. The Bible says that you can know that you have eternal life in heaven, but If you are putting your trust in anything other than the finished work of Jesus on the cross to get you to heaven, you do not understand God's way. Please let me share with you how you can know you have a home in heaven. The Bible says that we are all sinners. When God created Adam and Eve, He made them perfect without sin, but they chose to disobey God and became sinful in nature. This sin nature was passed down to all humanity. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Your sin separates you from God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned (yes, you too) and come short of the glory of God; A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven. Sin must be paid for and God's price for sin is death, but not just a physical death, but a spiritual death which means separation from God forever in hell. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. In the Old Testament when man sinned, God required the sacrifice of a perfectly spotless lamb as a substitute in the place of the sinner. The blood of that lamb was only a temporary payment for their sin and so this had to be done often. Jesus Christ, God's Son took on flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and offered Himself as that perfect, spotless Lamb and shed His blood as payment for the sins of the whole world. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Jesus loved you so much He WILLINGLY came and allowed wicked men to spit on Him, mock Him and scourge Him until He was unrecognizable. They stripped him naked, thrust a crown of thorns on His head and nailed His hands and feet to a cross. He hung in agony for hours bleeding, thirsting, struggling for every breath. He died innocently in your place so that you could be saved from going to hell. It was His blood that satisfied the just demands of a holy God. God will not accept anything else. There is no greater love than that! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (that means you) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The good news is that Jesus didn't stay dead in the grave. He came back to life 3 days later just like He promised and He still lives today! Matthew 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Friend, Jesus did all this because He wants to give you the FREE gift of eternal life in heaven with Him! You cannot do anything to earn your own way into heaven. You can't work for it, be baptized for it, go to church for it or try to be good enough for it. It is a FREE gift that God is offering to you if you will simply receive it by faith. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. God said there is only one way to get to heaven, but it is not hard. You must admit you are a sinner headed for hell. You must believe that Jesus died and paid for your sin with His own blood on the cross, was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead. Then you must repent of your sins and call on God for mercy to save you from hell and give you eternal life in heaven with Him. Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. None of us deserve God's mercy and grace, but let me warn you friend, that if you reject His FREE gift, you are already condemned and when you die, you will suffer the torment of burning in hell for eternity in a lake of fire where you will be forever separated from God and all that is loving and good. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Please don't wait! Don't take the risk of putting it off until another day, repent, turn to Christ NOW wherever you are at because you aren't guaranteed to live another day on this Earth. Believe God's Word, ask Him to save you and He will! I would love to meet you in heaven someday. Get your name written down in the Lambs Book of Life. God bless you! ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like more information or don't have a church to attend, we livestream our services and would love for you to join us even across the continents. facebook.com/regkelly.table/ www.libertyfaith.net/contact-us

9:10 Problem you cannot solve and you cannot stop thinking about. This is where rumination and stress comes from. If you're dealing with somebody in the background that is using coercive control to undermine your ability to make a decision. Many of these tactics are: gaslighting, intermittent reinforcement, moving the goal post and so on. When it becomes toxic stress. When your body goes into the stress state inflammation happens globally in your body reducing your blood vessels. Preventing your body from being able to digest, rest, stops your immune/limbic and the reproductive system. I hope this information helps? Awesome videos keep up the good work 👍

One of my earliest memories was about my parents discussing how they were in debt by 4K. A lot of money back in the day. I thought it was my fault and grew up thinking i was just a financial burden on my parents. I couldn't have been older than 4. I never thought about how this early memory affected my perspective and life until just now. Thank you!

This information provided by Emma McAdam, in this video is pure "gold". This is the kind of info that therapists charge $$$ hundreds of dollars for per hour. Emma lays out this information very clearly. Many light bulbs went off while watching this video. All I can say is thank you for providing such a valuable resource - this channel is great!

This is actually really helpful, thank you! I get overwhelmed by things that so many people seem to be able to do easily. If I have to buy something, I end up in a research vortex that lasts most of the day, and the only way I can get out is by forcing myself to choose one from the shortlist I've made - it's awful! I feel like I'm wasting so much of my life on these vortices. I've been trying to put my body into action when it comes to doing certain things, almost before my brain can load up the stress response that involves overthinking it, telling myself I can't do it or that there's no point, etc. If I can keep it up, it gets easier, and I'm trying to capture how it feels when I do it - namely, that it takes me much less time and energy to do the thing than it would to avoid it and allow the guilt and worry to settle in.

Plusy, Reduce negative thoughts and comparison with others. Reduce negative thoughts. Its quite simple. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes or more. Let thoughts come. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down still for a few minutes and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Feel the stillness flow within you. Make it a daily habit. Do the above meditation daily to have a good life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

I like this so far and I'm only on avoidance but I do feel like this is worth mentioning with flashbacks and negative thought spirals I kept reliving things at night it made me panic so I kept interrupting it and saying STOP (sometimes out loud, loudly! STOP STOP STOOPPPPPP!!!!) when it would get too much. Eventually they stopped and I dont get panic spirals as I called them, at night or really at all anymore. I then learned this is an actual therapy technique and I am the most dysregulated emotionally unhealthy person in many ways-- I have Autism and ADHD and a narcissistic mother so was never taught about my emotions, but personally for me this was not avoidance it was a necessary end and I havent had that issue in years. It helped me, I am a believer of this technique, its hard for me to disagree with people because of my codependency but in this case I disagree that this is avoidance it felt necessary and it's one less thing making me a mess now haha I study psychology now and want to become a psychologist and study officially. Most of my research is web based but I have an autistic special interest in it. I hope me disagreeing on this one thing doesn't make you sad I really am enjoying what I've watched so far and your video is very professional

I was washing dishes as I listened to this video. I stopped to do the tapping exercise and had my eyes closed to contemplate on my rating. As I was appreciating the decrease and thinking of the number my cat jumped up to get to the kitchen window and he almost went into the sink. The timing and scenario gave humor and a sudden trial for practicing this information. Thank you for your content!

I just want to thank you for sharing your work 🙏🏻! There are so many who don't have access to, knowledge of, or can afford integrative therapy like this. I have certications in energy healing working with energy psychology and somatic. Through my training to "heal others" I learned that I really needed to heal myself first. The process was painful. We need to feel it to heal it but it's a constant cycle of boundaries and tests to built on the knowledge through different triggers through "tests" that life provides 😬. I have some clients that come to me who want me to magically take it away rather than feeling which is temporary relief rather than dealing & using the self empowering tools. I am not immune to this even as a practitioner. So, we all need support with learning the tools but also support in using them. Many therapists are wounded healers themselves which makes them empathetic guides and I'm sure that you're one of those too. So thank you again for sharing your 🧠❤🧍♀️💫 (brain, heart, body, & spirit) with the world! I'll be sharing your work like crazy! 😃🥰❤
