Hi, I hope this message finds you well, healthy, and most importantly ... Happy!!! I'm 51 and I just got my first ever rc airplane at the thrift shop for 15 bucks. I charged up the battery and everything seems to work, so I figured I'd better check out the TUBE before I end up burning something down and ending up in the electric wires 5 miles away or something, ya know 😂🤣😂. So I've been checking you guys out for a couple hours now, and I wanted to take a moment to say, besides thinking I have enough info to crash within range of the transmitter now 😉 I really dig the vibe on the channel, you guys make a great team and that's Rad! Put lots of expo in it and you’ll get that big feel . Same with micro Heli’s. Start at 20% and work you way up until it feels slow on response.

9:53 I have the timber x 1.2m (set up full-span ailerons) and I have the umx timber x My findings so far: Timber x 1.2: 1) Easier to flat spin 2) Snaps/blenders better 3) Hovers easier/better 4) Green pops out in the air more than yellow for orientation UMX timber x: 1) Inverted flat spins easier 2) Blenders will go up instead of down and do circles somehow for a couple seconds before it starts descending (which is super weird and cool) 3) Using the elevator to flip inverted is QUICK 4) FLOATS down for landings Both are amazing planes but definitely fly a tinge different

Try doing a hammerhead into a flat spin. Hammerhead one direction for a normal flat spin and hammerhead the other direction for an inverted flat spin.

First of all as usual I really enjoy your channel. It looks like you get good planes from eflight. Unfortunately 2 out of the last 4 birds I got from them were so defective out of the box they were not able to fly. I miss my turbo timber evolution. It was my favorite plane, but I can't justify the gamble anymore. I'm going balsa for now on except for the echine war birds the are awesome, and take a beating. Thanks for the content

that big and small plane thing is like this, bigger the slower, just like the long trailers when backing up, small moves fast, long moves slow. you said, more whippy on the small, thats a great way to explain it imo. i love snappy at times and i love slow and methautical at other times when flying a flight sim.

Spoilerons are your answer to combat all that wing rock when trying to harrier/hover, brother. Get those flaps to shoot up and its makes for a much more stable harrier to hover. Same goes for its big brother.🤙

I've wanted the Timber for too long. Looks like you've sold too many, guys. Back-order til August according to the link to HH. Prob worth ordering to get one for the fall though. Looking forward to getting back out when the heat here in the south mellows and we get back to our 85F days with a little wind. I've neglected my RCs for way too long but I continue to watch my fav channels. I still have piles of gear and models and PROMISE! ... I just replaced my UMX Turbo Timber after watching it pile into the ground because the RF module in my transmitter choked. I have to say, Horizon Hobbies treated me really well concerning a replacement transmitter would have been 10 times more. I did consider one of these but they were just coming out and I almost never buy a new model until everyone else has gotten one and reviewed it first.

nice flying! I love mine, I think the thicker wing chord really enhances durability. I wing tip stalled mine into the ground like you did a few times, other than ejecting the battery it was fine. My umx turbo timber has two wing cracks from the same type of mistake, pleasantly surprised at how well the umx timber x holds up. Also, try an inverted flat spin, with 100% rates it gets about dead level flat. Hope you feel better !!

I've flown mine a few times but can't seem to get it in trim. I can compensate with sticks well enough but switching in and out of safe is pretty dramatic. My theory was the plane needed to be level when connecting the battery and initializing gyros, but that didn't help much either. Any advice?

Gosh I wish this came as a RTF 😫 there are so many planes that I want but because I don't have a radio that will bind to spektrum recievers it kinda sucks lol I am looking into getting the habu sts edf rtf jet and to my understanding the radio it comes with will bind to other rc planes and jets so with that being said I could have the best of both worlds lol the jet I have been wanting and a radio that will bind to the plane I have been wanting 😁 I have the arrows pioneer and I absolutely love it! I purchased it based on the review that nate and abby did and I am so glad that I got it however I want to step up my stunt flying and this timber x looks perfect for learning how😍 I just really wish they offered it in a rtf package with a radio that would bind to other rc planes as well 👍🏾✌🏾

Guys, how do I join your patrons? Also, my question that I was referring to the other day that I needed an answer for was I got the UMX timber turbo BNF and when I bound it to my transmitter it bound fine. When I went to maiden the plane, my telemetry warning was going crazy on my NX8 transmitter saying 555V!! Basically like a warning the ESC was getting too much power… I think. But it didn’t do that when I bound it on the same battery. I am using a 2s 300mah lipo. It is a Fly Venom brand battery but has JST-PH connector that the plane requires. It does have 3 wires though instead of 2 that go into the plane even though the plane has 3 pins on the connector. Any ideas?

It has some strange tendencies. I don't like the way it rocks. Only a few flights but I think the weirdness might be stall related. I set gear travel to 75% for safe and left it at - 100 for as3x. I then mixed the ailerons to gear with both left and right at -125. I did the same for elevator. Safe works normal with the stick near neutral but when I move the right stick, safe is turned off automatically. Let's me push my boundaries more and just let go for safe.

It is light enough to be a first plane, yes. But it will be harder to learn “manual” flying. Just fly it on 2s. No RTF kits available for this. I’d still recommend something a little more docile than this as a first plane , such as the UMX turbo timber, volantex sport cub 500, or hobbyzone sport cub.

I enjoy your content and want to say thank you for the hard work you put in. I just want to go out on a limb and say that personally, I think you kind of pushed the affiliate links a little hard today. You had good points, and I get where your coming from as a full time creator, as well as preparing for when you will have another mouth to feed, but I feel there's a point when you have already made your point and any more you bring it up, you may hit that point of diminishing returns. I really do get get where you are coming from, and sympathize with it, but I'm not gonna lie... It started to feel a little preachy/pushy. I didn't think much of the last video where you mentioned having a registry with Amazon, but after today's video, I kind of feel like you should resist the urge to plead your case. To be clear, I don't think it's tacky to mention affiliate links and whatnot in every video. I just think it might have a better outcome if you limit how much you say in each video. For me, at least, it just felt like you were trying to take me into something, but hey, it's not my channel and you are well within your right to talk about any topic you want.
