I am from Kerala and I am happy that atleast after Covid in Kerala, a movie starts rolling only after a story comes into existence. Only after a story comes into existence a film maker is going to think about who suits that role. Here also stardom exists. But that comes into picture only bcoz the producer demands it. Only the producer thinks about business. The creative team only thinks about their creativity and leave the rest to the production houses. The director doesn't think like a businessman. I am not saying everything is fine here and every films are created like I said. I am saying there are atleast a group of pupil who creates movies only bcoz they r passionate about movies and more are now getting added to that group like Jithinlal, Dinjith ayyathan etc. and most of the stars believe in them. There are also films which is getting created just bcoz a director gets a star's date and those films get what they deserve but that trend is getting downwards.

Bollywood at one time was Amazing . I am talking about 70's 80's. But then they became tooooo westernized. They want to be like Hollywood stars. They forgot they are Indians and people soon got fed up with Bollywood stories. Then came Netflix...Prime. And South Indian movies were exposed to the world. And people got really entertained with the fantastic stories told by the South. Even the hindi audience realised that South dished out much better movies. Glamour is not what people want. They want good stories.

Kriti is not a producer, distributor, or exhibitor so she would have no clue as to what films are profitable or not...thats not her job lol. She gets her paycheck and moves in to the next project regardless lf whether the last one was a hit or flop. And that applies to most actresses. Even tho you might argue the same for actors the reality is that the business that the film generates before release relies so heavily on their own market that they would inevitably be more aware of the impact of their films doing well or not because that directly impacts their value in the market. The hero may have to adjust their price when multiple films dont do well or may compensate the producer by doing another film for them. Actresses dont have that same liability because they arent the face of the project usually. I saw an interview recently where Kriti Sanon was saying she rejected heroine oriented action film because the approved budget was too low to achieve the scale of the vision. But how can she expect to get a 100 or 150 cr budget approved for herself when she has only ever worked in films with another hero. She has to be willing to do those type of films on a smaller budget, and possibly take a pay cut, in order to prove herself and get bigger budgets in future...but will she be willing to take that risk and maybe let go of multiple other films where she is getting paid more and require lesser worki working days for her? This logic applies across the board.

You are so right as Artist's they are not suffering but as an Audience we are suffering from PTSD. Bollywood is spending 400 crores on the supposed Actors.90% goes to these dumbfuc*s and 10% is what goes on to the making..eg Adi purush..Dora Bujji and Sakthiman of 90s had better Animation ,,Relatively speaking or speaking the abs facts she is right...Movie is made with 40 crores (360 Crores paid to the actors do not add value to the movie) and makes 100 crores so its profiting on the investment. Actors salaries are like Write offs or Waivers. If this trend has to turnaround all Indian movies and parties involved should move to profit share model. Invest in the product and you will easily make good movies and good ROI.
