Well... not really. Anyone with a moderate understanding of the aircraft on display can see that it is poorly built. @koskok29652 ай бұрын
@@tigerpjm Well, if you think about it a little harder, you'll realize you're wrong, provided we're both referring to the segment of the population with the following attributes: -> Have successfully undergone basic education ( didn't just scratch their balls from pre-school to high-school, graduated high school, have a healthy interest in learning ) -> Have undergone no formal education on engineering, aeronautics, military tech, military science and geopolitics. -> Have particular Interest in the above fields and read up on them on their own ( through news articles, technical reports/documents, forums, YT ,etc ). -> Practice critical thinking and are able to mute their emotions and biases when analyzing/digesting information. -> Are well aware of the existence of propaganda, the motivations for its spread and understand the principles/methods behind its operation. So, for the kind of people described above, the process of proof-reading of any material contains plenty of "failsafes" against disinformation, in the form of questions and anti-arguments and it's mostly in the search for contradictions. In our case, Here's a very simple line of reasoning one would follow to reach the conclusion that he may be reading pure BS when coming across the kind of article mentioned in the video: -> I've read a plethora of accounts of both its designer/manufacturer and the client/end user saying this thing was explicitly designed as a top-of-the-line, VLO multirole fast jet. -> I've seen a lot of material ( photos/footage ) of other Russian aircraft in production, not even VLO, from the same manufacturer, that have a higher build quality than this one. -> I've read that these particular specimen I'm looking at are prototypes, one of which is not even operational at this point ( it's a static display model ). -> I've consumed enough miltech content to know that initial prototypes can just serve as throwaway platforms to perform unit or system-wide tests on. -> I've seen a popular clip of one of these things flying casually high over Ukrainian territory and nothing happened to it. No way UA has no long range AD left to even spook it . -> I've also consumed enough military affairs content to know that nations generally don't like serving intel on their latest and greatest to the enemy on a silver platter, and may even go so far as to present neutered/botched specimens of that stuff to avoid exposing the true state of their tech. -> So since this model is meant to be an expensive, high-tech VLO and is produced by a corporation that has a lot of other, cheaper and lower-tech good aircraft to show, how can a specimen of it be that poorly built, especially when I've seen one of them perform as intended with my own eyes? -> What's more likely? The manufacturer conning their client to the point of self-humiliation while their track record and public evidence suggests otherwise, or could it be that the Russians wouldn't like to expose a serial production specimen of their best fast jet to everyone in public, including their greatest adversaries? In that case, would I put it above the notoriously sensationalistic, politically biased and unreliable media to wrongly accuse the manufacturer of poor quality standards? Are there any hints within the article suggesting the author is heavily biased ( e.g. extensive negative coverage of the political side of things, affiliations to political adversaries and competitors of the manufacturer and country of origin of the machine )? Is the journal itself politically biased ( high percentage of previous articles have similar bias and similarly biased authors, journal is affiliated to political entities )? So that's part of the reasoning of the previously described skeptical miltech enthusiast, that takes place in their mind in fractions of a second contrary to the time it takes one to read their thought process out loud, because you know, habit and adeptness at the vetting of information.

One thing is certain. The pilot executed a stunning display flight. "But airshow tricks are no use in combat!" BVR rules? Is the West really going to make that mistake again? The mistake of thinking the merge is a thing of the past, i.e., only BVR matters. There's an ex US fighter pilot with a channel. Lemone or something. He managed to be more or less honest about it and explained why that extreme agility is useful in combat. There's another reason he did not mention. The recent Su-34 evading a Patriot missile recording. Any other fighter bomber probably would've been shot down, but the Su-34 retains some of the Su-27's agility, so he managed to outfox the fox. The point being that a Su-57 being chased by a missile launched BVR or from ground would have a better chance of evading than most, so the maneuvers should not be dismissed as not being effective in combat. P.S. It would not surprise me if the instigators of the 'rivets' talk were sock puppets having a stir. The sock puppets have form playing that game.

The pilot was warned of the Patriot launches by EW aircraft flying overwatch, aborted the mission, dropped his external weapons and fuel tanks and turned around and ran away full throttle without any airshow tricks and split-S cobras to slow him down and allow the missiles to catch up. A missile can turn at 40g and more, always able to get inside the envelope of a manned aircraft limited to manoeuver at 9gs or less. They don't fly missiles at airshows though.

My thought is that, the russians didnt want to fly in a production quality finish aircarft thorugh china airspace to allow the sneaky chinese to train all thier Low frequency radar and whatever anti stealth radar to learn the radar signature or how to track the SU 57. so they brought in a prototype with poor quality stealth. They brought the better quality one via air transport so the chinese cant train thier radars on it .Genius move from Russia!. 🙂

Why are you wasting all this energy trying to explain to these haters, down inside in their soul after watching that aircraft fly and demonstrate what it could do, it was clear that there is no fighter plane out there in the world that could fly and pull off the kind of stunt that the Su 57 did, just looking at how the crowd was rushing to collect autographs from that skilled pilot was a plebicite in itself on who is the real boss.
@kenwu61742 ай бұрын
The Chinese internet is also filled with admiration for the Su-57’s flight performance. I find it hard to understand Russia's approach. They sent their top pilot to showcase their most advanced fighter abroad, yet provided him with an unrefined prototype. They could have reduced public scrutiny of the details by refusing close-up displays, but instead, they chose to allow it.

When it's abbreviated to Su, it's *an* Su-57 not *a* Su-57. One of the rare cases of English following the French rule of "whatever sounds right" (although I'm sure there's an actual rule somewhere). Why didn't you mention the engines shown? Some controversy as many at first thought it was izd30 but was a new 177s1 as opposed to the 117s1. Still has the same thrust but 6000 hours between major overhauls. Supposedly the 177s for native su-35 upgrades will have maximum thrust boosted to something like 15000 kg of thrust as opposed to 14500 kg of thrust. Also the 177s1 has some izd30 internals as well as the izd30 nozzle.

@@Rek1emMScar there's nothing official to read. UEC (conglomerate in Russia making aircraft engines) announced they will display a 5th gen engine in China and everybody though it will be the izd. 30 (it is the only known 5th gen engine in development in Russia). when they displayed it they gave it the designation 177S. there are 3 speculations: 177S is the izd. 30 Very unlikely since, it's not ready yet for Russia itself. 177S is a new design from scratch. more likely but still unlikely, because Russia doesn't have a competing 5th gen design to develop a new engine for. but a new design could be interesting for export (China ndia and Turkey are planning to build new aircraft and a ready powerful engine may interest them). Most likely is the 177S is an intermediate design based on 117 (AL-41F1) with some sprincles of izd. 30 magic, that is made for export and upgrading Russian 4th gen fighters in the future.

@@tunisiandom9318 did you mess up in the middle? Why would Russian want a new engine when Al41 its already really powerful for Su-27/su35 Aircraft. Its around 35k Thrust.. Those engines belong to the same family. I think it is pretty easy to deliver the new variant temporarily fitted with a old engines. For example, in soviet times last production runs of Tu-16 badger were to be fitted with rd-16-15 engines instead of older am-3. Engines never got to mass productions, and the last Badgers were built with enlarged air intakes, but delivered with the old engines

MiG-29, similar experience for attending first U.S. flight display/showing (Kalamazoo, Michigan) in 1990. Two USSR MiG-29 ( one single seat and one dual KUB) along with a loaded up Il-76(?). Was allowed to inspect from about 2 or 3 meters away and talk to crew and support. The aircraft looked either worn from flight displays (I believe they came in by Alaska) or early builds and build quality was not up to western appearance standards but, they did present a (hate to say it) dazzling display but, later to my dismay had been informed that all “control limiters” were removed and those maneuvers were “reportedly” banned in the pilots syllabus.

Su57 works with a flight of S-70 UAVs, AI performs anti-missile maneuvers (super maneuverability), identifies priority targets and can attack them, Su57 can fly without a pilot, it returns to base and lands. the su57 has a defense complex (lasers and digital electronic warfare), the su57 navigates without reference to navigation satellites, the range of encrypted toposphere communications is more than a thousand kilometers, the engine is multi-mode without an afterburner. su57 only lacks a photon radar, which the Russians are now successfully developing, a working prototype has been created
