My mental health will, in all seriousness, be better when I can go to a station and on a train and not see people wearing masks. It’s just so dispiriting. This video just adds to the gloom in my head.

Much better to wear a mask than need an oxygen mask in hospital. Look up the sun is still shining out there.

@@Brian3989 Nonsense Brian; that's a very unhelpful comment, for several reasons. Firstly, you misunderstand the purpose of masks; they are ostensibly to protect others, not the wearer. Secondly, the benefits of mask mandates are unproven and very marginal at best. They are an oppressive sign which can be damaging for mental health. The fact that they do not affect you is good for you but does not diminish the effect they have on others. Thirdly, the suggestion that not wearing a mask means the wearer is likely to need an oxygen mask is utterly absurd. Notwithstanding points above, the proportion of people who have to wear an oxygen mask when infected is absolutely miniscule and to suggest that this is a likely outcome is utterly absurd as well as counterproductive to the purpose of this video which is to improve mental health; your comments have the opposite effect! Many people are exempt from wearing masks; to suggest that such people are more likely to have to wear an oxygen mask is not only incorrect but it is also abhorrent too. I trust you will reconsider what you said and apologise, Brian?

@@Brian3989 Face coverings may reduce the spread of Covid but they are extremely unhelpful in every other way. In this very video people are depicted as looking at the facial expressions of others to determine if they are OK or need support but that is much harder with a mask on. The video also depicts people wearing masks in locations where there is currently no legal requirement to do so because the risk is considered to be so low.
