And that line, is the ability to pass on ones thoughts accurately in an understandable way. Perceived insanity is a failing of communication and linguistics. Someone could figure out a secret code in the kabbalah that predicts the stock market but if they can't demonstrate that, demonstrating their process of thought A to thought B to conclusion XYZ prob thru mathematics (which is just a language in its own right, arguable the purest one) then they're just spouting nonsense.
@Zarathustran4 ай бұрын
The irony of that familiar idiom coming from a professor (hopefully it didn't) would be that it's actually average intelligence which can't tell the difference. Insanity has irrationality in common with ignorance, not intelligence. Smart people see connections others don't, but crazy people see connections that aren't there. So more like a vast gulf than a fine line. IQ is one of the two most frequently-cited resiliency buffers against psychotic illness (social support is the other), and as it turns out high-IQ schizophrenia is so rare that schizophrenia is also negatively correlated to IQ. That said, IQ is positively correlated to comorbid neuroses (affective and compulsive disorders e.g. depression, anxiety, OCD).

There’s a very fine line between insanity and genius. I’m not sure if it was on your channel that I heard about this concept recently or not but it reminds me of the idea of certain types of mental illnesses and delusions coming from hyper-awareness as opposed to a lack of awareness. The information is “real” it just comes at the receiver too fast for them to properly comprehend.

Yeah I thought about this recently as well, that just because the perceived experience or information is being interpreted poorly or incorrectly does not mean the thing being perceived itself is not actually real Like how a schizophrenic might experience thought insertion, and describe it as a demon surgeon coming into their room at night and opening their brain to put thoughts inside of it, and while that interpretation is obviously not the most probable one, and so it's irrational or delusional, the experience itself is still very much real, because if someone is experiencing a fragmentation of the self, and subsequently receiving signals from parts of their brain not connected to where the "self" is, and maybe they receive ideas from their subconscious in real time, then technically they are in fact having thoughts that are "not theirs" because they came from a different region than where thoughts come from for most people They can describe it as demon surgeons or microwave weapons or aliens and they would be wrong, but does that mean what they are trying to describe is wrong or not real itself? I feel like this principle could be applied to a lot of things in life and could be helpful in expanding knowledge, that just because a description is inaccurate, shouldn't mean we ought to ignore the thing being described

All geniuses are “insane” and all “insane” people are geniuses. All geniuses are literally mentally ill. If you can access their medical records you would completely agree. Schizophrenics are geniuses. Here’s the thing…. In their early years of schizophrenia they believe stupid stuff because of USA media. USA media is the worst thing you can watch. If you easily get dopamine *wink* I do too stay the fuck away from USA media. Anyway they end up getting dopamine from things that have no truth at all then they become completely infatuated with fake stuff and become experts and dopamine driven on stuff that makes no sense. So what do they end up saying? Stuff that makes no sense. But they are complete geniuses in what they study but they are wasting their genius on conspiracies and you can’t figure out anything ground breaking with conspiracies. What I tell everyone who easily gets dopamine (me a schizophrenic) stay the fuck away from KZbin creators who talk about the unknown who never ever find anything ground breaking. You know like Duncan trussel graham Hancock etc etc. they have a business plan that preys on people who get too much dopamine from trying to figure stuff out. That’s a huge business on KZbin. Preying on people like me. Anyway again. Stay away from clearly rich people who say outlandish stuff that gets the human problem solving instinct running. If the KZbinrs sell anything they are only trying to manipulate you.

Given you mentioned astrology multiple times in this video; I’ve heard an interesting explanation on astrology that completely disregards stellar influences. Human cognitive development is not set in stone, but does follow some pattern and milestones (given some statistical interval), which overlap with other societal tendencies. As an example; this means babies born in summer will generally start interpreting their parents responses during winter. The fact that the parents are likely more timid and introverted in winter, shapes the baby’s foundation for communication to be more introverted. This lines up with Cancer characteristics. There’s a lot of variables in the manifestation of this process (speed of development, parents behavior, location on earth, …), meaning astrological attributes are not set in stone, deterministic or reductionist, but do follow a pattern when looking at a large group of people. Not saying we should now put all our faith in a horoscope, but that our western scientific reductionist paradigm might be more limiting than we think

I unironically think that the thing that unifies General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics is going to be a discovery in Novelty Theory. Someone is going to prove that emergent structures are infinitely observable at all scales. By zooming in to the subatomic level, we will always discover smaller constituent particles that emerge; by zooming out we will always discover larger cosmological superstructures. We'll discover that these things spontaneously come into existence in response to being observed - prior to being observed, they exist as a superposition (i.e. they both do and don't exist at the same time).

you can't zoom out on time, we can't voluntarily change our perspective of time. I mean, you can but not at will, you'd have to use a chemical that changes your perception but you can't control it. That's the next question, not what's smaller than small. There is a maximum small, the Planck length. One hertz, one wave that cannot be divided further, an event horizon that may have a next level but we'll never be able to see it from where we are. I can't imagine what's outside of time, I can imagine what's outside of space. Lol yes I mean where space ends and so there's no place for stuff to be.

What others see as chaos you may be seeing as complexity? Because you have trained your perception. Complexity is still ordered, it just cannot be perceived at a glance. Or it may be order, with of finely balanced amount of chaos, the exact measure of this enhances the order, as salt enhances mild flavors. Paradoxically, 1 single instance of chaos nesting in order is seen as a glaring mistake. Like a pulled thread in clothing This is the secret of aesthetics. As most just glance at things, scroll thru life, they may not have had your experience.
@skepticalbystander7 күн бұрын
@veronica_._._._ do you think if you have a system of complete order, once you introduce an element of chaos or randomness, does that not topple the whole notion of that particular order, in the same sense that throwing one odd number into a string of adding even numbers, you're never getting an even number ever again until you change something again to compensate the change, you can still keep applying the old order without the conclusion the order was intended for in an attempt to not throw the baby out with the bathwater, but so it becomes a new order, which means the old order had a sort of shift death into being born as the new function? I think chaos can be perceived or interpreted as its own form of order, it might just be chaos to the terms of an orderly system, cuz doesn't that just mean that order is the chaos to chaos's order? Basically to the functions and conclusions of order, chaos is the obstacle, and to the functions and conclusions of chaos, order is the obstacle. Once something contradictory to the order of a system is introduced to the system, it seems as if you no longer have the old way, even if it feels the same because the changes yielded minor changes, the virus of the old order is the antidote of the new order. The angle of our perspective seems to change most everything.

@@skepticalbystander Pure math is in a different order, to 2D OR 3D reality. One wonky wheel on a wagon? Still a wagon, but its has now added acoustics. Chaos can never be order, this is where we have to bring ideas into the tangible. BUT complexity is often confused with chaos. As our visual systems sketch greater environment when we are thinking, or scrolling, driving or walking.... Too much order is experienced with as much existential dread as too much chaos, when we are talking experiential. 12:38 as I understand it, the not-arbitrary cut off point is the Planck length, beyond - or perhaps more correctly, beneath which, it is no longer possible to make any direct observation. This seems to be the threshold between the mechanical perspective on reality and the speculative perspective. Thanks for the word, "interconcatenation", I will be looking for ways to use that.
@alanmalcheski88824 ай бұрын
I just mentioned that, and there's also the concept of Planck time. It could be an event horizon. A point we can't see beyond without changing our position to go into the horizon, over it. Without using math you can think about this stuff using those limits, those absolutes, they are interactive. The speed of light in a vacuum is a system factor. Absolute zero, the temperature, is an absolute, like the Planck length. I think the big bang is clearly an event horizon, not the two dimensional beginning of nothing. We are all phasing in and out of existence at a frequency of 432gHz... I think, that's what I've heard. That would be an absolute system factor. We are all going at or near light speed, in some weird way I can't explain, meaning that we are going fastest when we're not moving and we slow down the faster our bodies move.

These special ones can see multiple dimensions at once. I also think that are somewhat psychic. Some are able to see dark entities jump into and out of people. I think that they are seeing these real things that most humans cannot tap into. There could be a form of soul separation as well. I look at patterns like it’s a puzzle to figure out. Patterns can be really fun⚛️. 😀❤
@alanmalcheski88824 ай бұрын
that would have to be compared to the psychology of what most people think schizophrenia is, multiple personality disorder. why would one be a serious mental illness and the other a special psychic gift? By your logic, multiple personality disorder is actually many souls sharing one body. Malkoviches. or manifestation(s) of entities that possess a person but exist in a different dimension. what would be the point or purpose of such complicated witchcraft? Not enough bodies to go around, some souls are trapped and can't be born into this reality? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I've never heard of anyone benefitting from such a condition. If something is only shown to cause problems and dysfunction, it is like a mutation, or an illness. It would be nice, to hear that there's something of benefit to it.

I can zoom now, and read the symbolism, as well as metaphor and allegoric language. It’s written on the walls, I’m glad someone else can see it. I know The journey and I know the isolation of not being able to connect in mutual , knowing, at least not to degree

Fun watch! I really enjoyed contemplating your thoughts in this video. On a side note, I’ve been wondering something, and I’d like to here your thoughts on it: All of us are made of the same things. Our human consciousnesses all operate the same way, and that is via the brain. If all human brains were to be connected we could form a single consciousness theoretically. Our individuality would give way to one new individual. My question is: Should we? Is this a desirable new form of existence for humanity? Very curious about what you would think on the matter.

Was reading thru my birth chart the other day and found it interesting the description under uranus conjuct neptune is that the generation born under this conjunction will change the public perception of religion and bring about a mass reevaluation of material reality, like those revolutionary thinkers that came into their own in the 1940s. Really love what you said about god being an artist. I have been making art my whole life, maybe that is literally all we are. Just the sparking of neurons in a brain.

when you wrote the math on paper and set the paper on fire, not only did you produce the products of combustion (ash+ gaseous material) but you also retained the memory of the act in your brain.

Basically there's a difference between a scientific understanding and the human understanding of the world and we can't merely state everything to be a singular objective physical thing because we're not from an objective perspective

I think you should be careful when discussing chaos as patterns that we cannot comprehend. A more apt description of chaos would be that it is the overlay of sufficiently many patterns so as to render any pattern irrecoverable through a mechanism of overload. Information packed so tightly that it cannot possibly hold any more information and then packed tighter still until information is lost. You cannot recover information from chaos, it is irreversible.

fractally that would corrupt any and all data making virtually none of the data in the system reliable. as he's saying, the data is stored inside data which is stored inside data, that's how it's compiled, so the overload would immediately destroy the system and then continue to become more unreliable as more was loaded into it. Dam.

I don’t think fractal infinity is „thinking“ or self-limiting by words we try to put over /on it….so relax and try to decode Till it clicks and sets you free/onto another level oder mental plane as a reward for working/thinking with it 😊

to be clear, schizophrenia is not about being delusional or recognizing more patternt. Its literally about having hallucinations, you perceive information thats not really there. If I see a goat man waiting for me at the end of my bed at night thats a hallucination, im not gonna be saying on the streets that the goatman caused the crisis or anything like that. Its true that these hallucinations in most cases make the person think they're real, like a forced suspension of disbelief in real life. But delusions and craziness are a whole other thing different than schizophrenia. If i see the goatman, im not perceiving a hidden pattern, because its not really there. Its my brain making up incorrect information about the world around me. Thats misinterpreting a pattern, thats not perceiving something real

the reality we experience seems to me to be a collective projection of human experience information is both physical and mental and to that end information can be infinitely extrapolated out with patterns within sub-patterns
