Don't quit making videos. It's escapism for us landlubbers that want to go but don't have the significant other to help with the work or the money to make it happen. It's peaceful and enjoyable to watch you two sail around and though you don't have to constantly repair all the little things now, that leaves more time for the good things in life. Cheers!

@@brianscribner713 I'm 6' and 500 lbs. Don't think I don't get out and do things, I do. I'm actually very active and have muscle most guys only dream of without working out BUT, I am HUGE! I can't sit in 'normal' people chairs because I'm too wide. I have to go sideways through house doors because I'm too wide and you want me on a yacht where things are even smaller? Let's not forget that mobile homes, the closest analogy to a yacht a landlubber has, do not have a floor that can hold my weight without flexing and giving and you want me to live on that full time? To trust my life to a boat that 1) won't be comfortable for me to be on, 2) too small for me to enjoy and 3) is too expensive for someone living paycheck to paycheck to even think about. Let's not even bring into the fact I live in Oklahoma. We have only a few lakes where even small day sailing is even possible and we're landlocked with minimal access to the ocean short of a long river cruise or a trailer ride to get there. I don't even have money for a land based vacation. Quit thinking everyone has money. Some of us are flat broke. I get by on a single income and it's not easy. I only get to watch people enjoy doing what I want to do and short of winning the lottery, that won't change. It's the same with people thinking, "Oh if you just did this or that you'd lose weight!" BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it were that easy there'd be no overweight people in the world. F U

Guys, back in my hometown(Cuba) families were raised on barracuda. That is one the best eating fish out there. The saying was "if it is less then 10 lbs eat it". Plus you have a cat on board. My cousin and many other people gave it first to the cat, if the cat eat's it, go for it.

My wife and I do a lot of camping in our van. We leave the doors and windows open. We use a 4x6 coclands bug net over our bed to solve the bug problem. It solves the proplem and we don't end up with dead bugs trapped in our van as they are free to come and go and we are amused at their fustrated buzzing. Just a thought. Works for us.

I have been living full time for over a year in a 31 foot sailboat, your channel encouraged me to do it. I'm having the time of my life! Since I live in Norway I have different problems, no mosquito's but i have to fight humidity. A wood stove is providing the heat, no need for air condition here! Keep up the good work! If you wanna quit, it's up to you. Most important is to enjoy your life! Don't feel any kind of pressure, but I would be happy to see more videos :)

I loved this episode!!! Matt, you have a lot to learn about doing longer voyages. Find a challenge of something you haven't done. Learn about it. Do it. Share it with us . . . you are NOT done . . . you've just begun . . . NOW the REAL adventure starts. Teach us about fishing. Teach us about how to know what fish you an eat and not eat (why not barracuda?). Explore a better way to manage that dingy (really, drag it behind the boat? can't you do better than that?). Teach us about how to maintain the rigging? Teach us about how you go about navigating . . . there are an ENDLESS number of things we want to know from YOU . . . not from anyone else . . . Kristen . . . how do you manage the food? How do you know what to buy? How much? When? How are you organizing things in the new place? What's working? What's not? What did you expect to be better but isn't? What is better that you didn't realize? How has the "new boat" helped you get more efficient? or not? Where do you guys want to go? What's it like when you get there? How do you plan a trip? How do you react to things when they don't go your way . . . if you're running out of ideas . . . hit me up . . .
