Yep, when I made the realization that I should just want to be healthier so like I didn't have to gasp going up a hill or doing any physical activity, it became a lot easier to eat healthy and get exercise in. A lot of the downer feeling truly was weight gain during pandemic, which I always knew was a possibility but before then I hadn't ever been chunky like that. After losing 65 pounds and back at reg weight I make sure to tell everyone the difference in mood and stability over time. I was never one to even have the ideations towards self harm but when I was heavy I could see my thoughts turn down those paths, which was wild. Hasn't happened once since I lost the weight, also lower brain vein hemorrhage paranoia from high bp gone. That stress and downer cycle is like self accelerating since it also effs my skin up too, with stress hormones. I ain't ever have anyone else in my life beat my whole self esteem out me like fat me.

We have to use common sense. There are so many videos or just people walking out here giving advice like it should fit everyone. I dont believe in being sad or constantly thinking about things that u dont have. I am single, over 30 and have a good life. Of course, I desire a relationship bc I am emotionally healthy, my human body is attracting to wanting a deeper connection with a partner that will involve intimate sex etc. just like it is normal to feel loneliness sometimes while u are in a healthy relationship with someone. Humans will have some feelings of wanting to connect with what is natural. But if is actually ridiculous to walk around and waste your mind on what u dont have. An example, I could be broke, have a horrible relationship with my fam, not love my job, feel unsafe etc. Not having a relationship isn’t going to kill me. There is more to life than just that one thing. My advice is focus on what u have and don’t stress too much of what u dont have. Life could be worst if u can compare it to a lot of things people suffer from.

Oh God for a second I thought you were talking about Loren's mother. I was in my "awh old people are adorable," moment and read this lol. Yeah extremely similar you are right. His hygiene and physical grooming tips for the guys were solid I'll give him that, but kind of lacking in the introspective side of things, though that's just men from his era. My dad is the same kinda. I found that the key to being at peace was learning to achieve this single first personally. Like I guess you could seek a traditional relationship like the one he talks about, but I want one like my parents where they were able to hang out, conversate, have fun, and are still together near 30 years of marriage. Introspection and self-assessment as a man is kind of daunting but the actual secret is that it's different for everyone. Can't sell you a guide on it, if you're my friend in real life I can give you real advice and criticisms as you do it, and that's what you got to do for your bros. In ancient Greece this was called actualization, like philosophically. In fact if your already doing bro code right it's really easy, here is an example from my life. We have a friend in our group who grew up kinda sheltered and religiously conservative so had hard time approaching women. Hygiene easy enough to teach, the best tool to teach is positive reinforcement and letting outsiders not clown him, but if you're friends include him. Basic stuff to most dudes. Any I found out he liked to Salsa dance and got a triple solution ready quick. We enrolled in Salsa dancing class. I understand the whole clinical psych side of it thanks to my current girl, if that's how you learn I can write that out for you lemme know but there ain't any need to over complicate it or sensationalize it, it's dudes just genuinely being dudes. We all can tell at a certain point if we bullying outta tough love, power tripping or the worst, for the clout. Kevin Samuels is absolutely correct in saying building up gets more purpose and enjoyment, including your bros. I don't think I'm built serious enough for that traditional relationship stuff. Just the sex sound terrifying. Like if there's no light, no music bro, wtf how sex supposed to sound like?? With my luck I'd literally end up pooping myself in terror. Like do traditional couples even do stuff like random annoyances at each other? Conversating with your SO who lives under the same roof less than a room mate is gonna totally end up, with how much game of thrones I watch, I'd end up thinking my SO out to murder me. So now I'm planning on living on the edge of getting a 5150, dying, or doing life for murder. I prefer the annoy each other, and the random thing thrown every now and then. We both have physics courses we took, if someone asks we just tell them we're observing and verifying Newton's theories for use as a calibrated constant in future studies.

I think the problem is people are too one dimensional. You can be happy being single and still yearn for a relationship. Like, you can be happy and content with where you are but want more. Women in this day and age don’t want to suffer like a lot of our mothers did. They stayed married, overworked, under appreciated and under valued to men that used and abused them. (By abuse, I don’t just mean physically or even verbally). They stayed for the kids, they stayed because society frowned upon divorced women with kids, they stayed because it’s always down to the woman to keep the marriage together. This generation of women wants peace above all else! The fact remains, it’s better to be single with peace and happiness than settle for a man just to have a man. Waiting or searching for the right man for you, is truly the answer. Also 30 is not the end of life. You can find deep meaningful love at 32, 35, 40+, you just have to do what’s best for you. Having kids by a man you’re not compatible with just to do it, is insane.
@uprightaardvark2 ай бұрын
I mean I know plenty of happy men and women above 30. I'm just a random dude, I'm gonna give thanks to whatever power put me in this reality and not whatever reality that caller is in. I strongly disagree with Charlamagne on this. Alot of people don't realize that your happiness is not dependent on someone else.
