Bought this cooler for my Dell XPS 8940 with the 1th gen i7 11700 paired with the RTX 3060 Ti. All the included hardware worked, didn't have to pull the motherboard. Unbelievable results for my budget pre-built. Went from frequent 100 Celsius throttling to 71 degrees after a Cinebench test. Never saw a temp above 76 since installing. I run the PC all day long too. Fan is whisper quite. Highly recommend this cooler.

Seriously. Ever since I got into PC tech, "4 cores 8 threads is all you need" was said by everyone. So when I built my latest PC, I got a 7700k, at the time highest end Intel gaming CPU and thought I'd be set for a long while. Well Ryzen came and fucked up that statement. Even 6 core CPUs are bitch-tier now. 8 core is minimum. I hate my 7700k. But no money to upgrade.

That's a very good find, really low price for a 5-pipe cooler. The additional heatpipe is the main reason why the Noctua NH-U12S performs so well for its size - most of these are 4-pipe.

​@@impermanenthuman8427 It's hard to tell without direct comparison, but chances are it will be a bit more performant for the noise level thanks to better fans, although likely not by a lot. Mainly the advantages of Noctua over its competition are build quality and customer service. The mounting system is sturdy and easy to use, the fans are quieter-than-most but also very well-built and reliable, and you get a long warranty period during which they will take care of you extremely quickly and efficiently.

The one thing to mention is that this year is on an open system. Actual milage may very depending on the air flow of your case. If heat builds up in the case it's going to have to fight against that, but if you care about cooling then you should be shopping for a case with air flow.

You don't buy water coolers because you want the best cooling. You buy water coolers because you do not want a noisy cooler in your pc case. I bought this cooler because of this video about a month after it was uploaded. At first I had a first gen 17 860 and it cooled it no problem. Now I have an i7 11700k oc'd to 4.6ghz(4.9 all core is possible with this cooler but it throttles a bit with cinabench, gaming is fine though). At 4.6ghz all core it pulls 160 watts at 1.31 volts and the Vetroo V5 keeps it right at 85 C after 10 minutes under load. Very happy with it. Thank you Jay

10/10 would reccomend! I just want to say thank you so much for this review. I bought the cooler and replaced my stock computer in my Predator Orion 3000 PO3-620-UR14 which is known for poor temp regulations st high level gaming. My Temps went from 70-80s even 90 Celsius while gaming to a cool crisp 45 Celsius maxing to 62 Celsius. This fan is amazing!

Curious to see what a 2nd fan on that cool would bring the numbers to. I find this amazing as the 240 uses 2 fans and was unable to beat a single fan Air cooler unit. I would try better Static pressure fans on the AIO then try some higher cfm ones just to see if maybe the fans are not very good for radiator use (Even if they are the included ones means little). Thanks for the suggestion. Just picked this up because when I was editing videos my stock wraith cooler on my ryzen 5 2600x was get to nearly 88c. This cooler was super cheap and brought me down to low 60c while editing. I also got lucky and my cooler pipes were flush at the bottom with no weird gaps. I bought this cooler for sub $25 a few months ago because it was simply the best value air cooler for a case that could only accommodate a 150mm cooler. Honestly, the static pressure that the fan can produce is absurd (Actually, I never believed it was true - I just hoped it got even close to it) and the 5 heat pipes are what sold me. It was a little tricky installing; I'd recommend aligning it with the backplate before you try and screw it down otherwise it can be a pain and you can bend a few fins. Once I did manage to install it, it works well - It keeps my Ryzen 2600 (Overclocked to 4Ghz) nice and cool and I never exceed 66 degrees celsius when gaming. It's like Jay made this video for me because I was actually going to replace it with a $67 240mm AIO cooler but I realize now that it would be a waste of time. Thanks Jay!

One thing I found with the fractal AIO, is it’s really sensitive to pump speed. Good chance you had it maxed out, but if you had it on Auto, the pump slows right down and makes a big difference

@@Soupy101 dude don't. I had an AiO once i went back to air cooling, AiO are ok but a good air cooler will always be better. I'm on a place where summers get to 40c normally, my air cooler stays under 70 always. The aio would get to 80 on a hot day if i didn't turn on the AC

Well, Jay, I am impressed. Mine came in, I installed it, and it has already made a huge difference. It's silent, it cools well, and it was fun to put in my system. It took my CPU temps (at idle) from high 30s/low 40s to high 20s/low 30s (avg. temp is 31C). Hovers in the mid 40s while gaming. Haven't stressed tested yet, but I think it will do just fine. This is all with a Ryzen 5 3600. Thank you for the recommendation!

The bequiet ones look great with their turned caps and plate over the fins and pipes. Really quite cheap too but imo needs more airflow so I swapped the fans out. Cools a 3950 pretty well for just air.

I have an Enermax ets t-50 ARGB that looks a lot like that, except it's White. Cools my 9700k overclocked to 5.0 GHZ on all cores with ease. Temps get into high 70's, low 80's on super harsh benchmarks but during gaming the hottest core never gets above the mid 70's which is perfect. Upon further inspection, it looks like the exact same Cooler and Fan combo except black and rebranded! Matter of fact it is the exact same cooler and fan LOL.

I wonder if Jay tried retesting the AIO or if he had previous results with that same setup. That big of a difference I really wonder if their was something wrong with the mount for the AIO somehow...because wow.

I put a Gammaxx 400 V2 (red) cooler on my Ryzen 5 5600X and even when I set it to "game mode" via Ryzen Master I dont see temps above 65/66c even when I am thrashing it on COD black ops for 3 or 4 hours I have to agree with Jay , expensive more established names are not always the best way to go my Gammaxx cost £23 or about $28 US (from Amazon lol) and I could not be happier with it. Now to save up for a better monitor as mine only runs at 60Hz (1900-1080) and I want a 144Hz on at the minimum. Keep up the good work Jay looking forward to more content that helps this 62 year old guy stay young :-)

Bought one of these after watching your review. I was setting up an old 1700x machine to CPU mine Monero and the stock cooler hit 95 degrees.. Using the Vetroo it's pegged at 62, thank you for letting us know about this cheap option. I wouldn't have given it a look otherwise.

Have a Vetroo V5 cooler installed in an Optiplex 9020 cooling a i7 4790K (with a full size GTX 1080 adding to internal case temps), this cooler allows the CPU to hold at 4.4Ghz all day long without exceeding 61c on any core. Only drawback was that the RGB light on the fan never worked right out of the box but not a deal breaker on this great budget option. I originally planned on upgrading the fans to a push/pull Noctua configuration but the single Vetroo fan is performing well enough on its' own.

Seems to me that the heat pipes being imbedded in the heat sink with separation is better. This actually provides more surface area of the pipe to dissipate the heat from the entire pipe versus just the bottom when they are placed together.

Ordered the day of this video. Just got it in today. Definitely impressed with it. Slightly oc ryzen 5 3600 under stress test running at 60-65c and idle temps between 30-34c. Big difference over the stock cooler.
