@@PresidentScroogeback then people were that PC?! It’s just a comedy jeez. I remember when there was still some General seating and not all reserved seats. Was kinda exiting having to wait in line to be the first to see a movie and have a good seat. Now it’s so expensive it better be a Darn good movie. I don’t remember if i saw this in theaters. 🤔. Woulda been cool to see the crowd go crazy. Esp with the Hair gel scene. Jen left that in 🤣. I figured youtube would not allow that with how they sensor words as it is. Reaction vids are fun. Hi Jen! I loved this movie when it came out. Everybody did and it was a huge hit. As a promo for the film, the marketing dept gave away stuffed dogs wrapped in bandages. That was huge too. Harold and Maude is a real film that came out in 1971. It's a quirky black comedy that's now considered a cult classic. The key takeaway word here is quirky. Cat Stevens does a wonderful job on the music.

Ben Stiller has an ensemble role in Keeping the Faith (2000) with Edward Norton and Jenna Elfman (although Norton is kinda first among equals); less a romantic comedy and more an awkward drama. Two other movies are Flirting with Disaster (1996) along with Patricia Arquette and Téa Leoni, and Zero Effect (1998) playing opposite Bill Pullman and directed by Jake Kasdan in his feature debut.

Quid pro quo: I got a 3 foot Reticulated Python in college from a pet store...this was late 80s so pre-Internet and I didn't know they can grow to be 25'+ and aren't exactly handlable like many pet pythons are. One evening I was taking it out to clean the cage and d it turned on me and latched onto my hand, between the thumb and forefinger. Being only 3 feet long meant the teeth were small but man, that dude was stuck. I decided then and there to take it back to the pet store and thankfully they took it. Pet store selling a potentially 25' snake! What the hell?!?!?

"That photo of the naked lady with the snake on her" was 1981's "Nastassja Kinski & the Serpent" - an iconic poster/art print of German supermodel/actress Nastassja Kinski by famed fashion photographer Richard Avedon. This was an image that was pretty difficult to avoid in the 1980s... Let's watch Nastassja Kinski and Malcolm McDowell in in the seminal horror film Cat People (1982) For more Cameron Diaz movies check out The Mask (1994), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), Charlie's Angels (2000), Vanilla Sky (2001), Knight and Day (2010), Bad Teacher (2011) and, of course, The Shrek Movies (2001-2010) Matt Dillon was a teen idol in the 1980s starring in such classics as My Bodyguard (1980), Little Darlings (1980), The Outsiders (1983), Rumble Fish (1983) and The Flamingo Kid (1984). There's Something About Mary revived his career much the same way Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta. Dillon has since gone on to star in such films as Wild Things (1998), City of Ghosts (2002), You, Me and Dupree (2006) and received critical acclaim for his roll in Crash (2004). *BS* Let's see Mystery Men (1999) a superhero spoof with Stiller, Janeane Garafolo, William H Macy, Paul Reubens, Hank Azaria, Eddie Izzard, Greg Kinnear, Geoffrey Rush and many, many other practically forgotten icons from the 90s! Cheers!

Great reaction once again, Jen! Here are a couple of recommendations I think you'd like - both are atypical comedies with romance involved. First is Grosse Pointe Blank with John Cusack, Minnie Driver, Dan Aykroyd and Joan Cusack from 1997, 2nd is Broadcast News with William Hurt, Holly Hunter and Albert Brooks from 1987. For Ben Stiller I'd suggest The Royal Tenenbaums, Tropical Thunder, or Along Came Polly.

"Oh man! How'd you get the beans above the frank?" - Mary's Dad (Kieth David) Hi Jen! Gonna have to change your name to grandpa wheezy after this movie. Wow what a nice surprise. As soon as I saw the movie title, I started laughing knowing you would be laughing the whole time. Also Kingpin (1996) with Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson, and Me, Myself, and Irene (2000) with Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger, should be added to your list. Just like this movie, both are directed by the Farrelly brothers and have the same vibe and comedy. Thanks for your laugh of approval. 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️

The black guy is "Angelina's boss in "Mr. Mrs. Smith. I got a few of "Ben's Stillers movies, especially this one. He is super funny as you already know and in the "Meet the Parents movies. Pop culture at it's finest. You're watching some great fun stuff. I also own every "American Pie movie. Hopefully I can get to enjoy those movies with you as well. 👍🏼

Memorable movie for sure. I haven't seen it for awhile so I'm glad I got to watch it with you! Ben Stiller was terrific in the "Night At The Museum" movies for one group. Cameron Diaz (like Ben) has been in many great movies, but one that comes to mind is "Charlie's Angels." Matt Dillon was in "The Outsiders." Great job again my friend!!!!

Definitely watch Harold and Maude! It’s a classic set in the peninsula on the SF Bay Area where I grew up in hills borough. The locations are classic Bay Area spots like half moon bay, old dumbarton bridge etc…beautiful story. And, you would look great with short hair Jen! They are playing Harold And Maude at a indie movie theatre where I live on Valentine’s Day so I’m definitely going. 😁

It’s a fun & funny movie, the scene with the zipper was the funniest because you always make sure your privates are secure before pulling up the zipper but this guy didn’t 😂. Meet the Parents is my favorite movie from Ben Stiller.

This was a Farrelly Brothers production, and it was an instant favorite of mine as it far surpassed any comedy film that I had seen to that time! Now go and watch 'Flirting with Disaster!'

I would recommend "Nurse Betty", doesn't have any of these actors involved at all as far as I can recall, but it does have a doozy of an eye opening scene. Just make sure any kids are out of the room or be prepared to have a serious after movie discussion.

This is the rarest of films, so unexpectedly great, that people literally dragged friends and family to come see it, the other that I recall was Forrest Gump.

You would love another Farrelly Brothers directed movie called Kingpin with Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray. Exact same humor but about bowling and it's amazing.

This movie had a lot of funny moments... but the "Hair Gel"... The "Hair Gel" had my friend and I laughing so hard in the theater people were telling us to shut the f up, and one lady asking us if we were OK when we were almost passing out because we had turned purple and couldn't breathe for laughing. The rest of this movie is a funny movie... but THAT scene? Priceless!
