Bocchi the Rock becomes AOTY and Frieren actually beat Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in their own home turf to be no.1 anime of all time. Keiichiro Saito did some witchcraft or something.

To explain her nickname, her name is Hitori, the word for Lonely/loner is Hitoribocchi. So they just removed the part where its like her name to just be Bocchi.

the manga is just a panel gag manga with very little going on besides setup for the jokes. this animation masterpiece is all the love and soul from the cloverworks studio.

TheReactPack are watching Bocchi-chan's rock, Bocchi the rock! 7:36 that was the moment Bocchi cemented itself as peak, because ANYONE CAN RELATE! thats what your brain uses to keep you up at 4 in the morning! so of note for episode 1: Hitori's name means 'one' or 'one person', and when you meet her sister you will wonder as well how on earth her parents saw that far ahead lmao also 15:09 at her dad's advice Bocchi uploads videos under the pseudonym 'guitarhero', so presumably he also advised her to not show her face online so she only recorded the guitar and her hand and fingers

There is some awesome little details when Nijika see Bochi at the park, if you look carefully Nijika running into Bochi and immediately jump over the fence or something like that. That scene implying that Bochi is "bordering" herself and Nijika comes into Bochi's life by crossing Bochi's "border". Just like how an extrovert come into an introvert

The park from (where Hitori is sat on the swing) is 2.65miles (in a straightline) from STARRY...But I guess we are to believe it is closer to STARRY than it is...Some of real life locations used in "Non Non Biyori" are hundreds of miles apart..yet we are to believe they are set in the same village..hehe...It's because of the parks layout is why it was used....rather than it's proximity to STARRY....The yellow bar corden around the swings being a metaphor for Hitori's personal space....which we see Nijika entering (climbing over) when she spots Hitori with her guitar.

I don't know the actual reason why you can never see Bocchi's dad's eyes but I personally love the community theory that he is an ex harem rom com protagonist and Bocchi being shy to this extent is some kind of divine punishment upon his lineage to restore balance.

Adore this show...And have been lucky enough to have visited (from UK) many of the real life locations used throughout the show..Including sitting on the very swing Hitori is sitting on when Nijika first finds her...Kind of surreal.

Best band anime ever (yes, including even the legendary K-On). I've been a working musician for longer than I like to think about, and this show gets SO much absolutely dead-on right about what it's like to be in a small, struggling band. The makers have obviously been there, done that, and it shows. The locations in and around Shimokitazawa are all real, too...
