In the second story, the fraud attempted had gone back to the beginning of the builder's HOA. It had so many people in on it I am surprised there weren't RICO charges -- which triple the monetary charges.

I had a Karen neighbor who, while I couldn't prove it at the time, was stealing my mail. I asked my landlord for permission to mount a motion activated camera, at my expense, to catch her. They refused until informing them they could be charged with aiding in the commission of a FEDERAL crime. I suddenly received a new mailbox with a lock and key! Funny how that works, huh?

The HOA story is a basic one for a farm near a HOA. In all of them the farm was there years before the HOA started. The HOA president shows up one day. Tells the farmer they owe HOA fees even after they were never a member. The HOA president and or board member do illegal things that will end up getting them in trouble with the law. There is a court date. Everything gets exposed. The HOA president and or board member are charged with what they have done. Sometimes there is jail time. Money is given out for waht was done. And sometimes the HOA is disbaned. Other times better people take it over.

I don't mind the voice. I do hate it when they switch to a different voice midstream. What I really hate, though, is the moralizing after the actual story is finished. We're capable of figuring that out on our own.
