Chances are they either all live in Apartments, in Dorms or at Mommy & Daddy's house so they believe everything else is just public communal space.

Liquor store. While the woman should not have said what she did, OP was COMPLETELY in the wrong for putting his hands on her. You tell the person to leave and call the police to have them physically removed if they refuse. You can try to block them if they start to property damage, but you do not put hands on them unless they do it to you first. The OP knowing the small-town cop is probably the only reason he didn't get charged with assaulting the woman.

Remember, folks... tall, strong fences make for better neighbors. Also, make sure the property lines are marked & and posted, not with just no trespassing, but private property & the property owner's name.

Condo story. The OP is a complete tool. They are the neighbor from hell that everyone prays to never live within a country mile of. You are aware that you are living in a space where you share floors/walls with other people, yet you deliberately get a sound system which really cranks up the noise, then proceed to play movies which contain lots of loud noises like gunfire, then act like the neighbor is the problem? Even if it wasn't during legal quiet time, it still behooves people who share space to act decently with consideration for those around them. OP is apparently incapable of being a decent human being or neighbor. OP sucks.

Why didn't you report the pool as it was being built? I assume this was an above ground because there's no way an in ground would be done the next day. What kind of municipality does nothing about property encroachment on a brand new structure? If that's true, you could just wait until your neighbor went on vacation and build whatever you wanted on their property. But since you did nothing to stop this, the obvious thing to do was to go swimming.
