I always find this an interesting topic. Personally I love oil injection. I have a little over 200 hours on a 21 Xtrainer, zero issues and one can to rule them all. I did however secure the oil line further when it was new. Congrats on your bike, you’re gonna love it.

I cant recommend it enough if you’ve read as much as i did prior to my purchase! If you’re looking for a single track weapon that can be street registered look no further. The ONLY con i have about the bike is the small fuel tank / fuel mileage. The smile per galon ratio is high, but unfortunately the MPG is low 😆

if you are going to keep oil injection do these now before you go ride! and even then id still suggest doing the oil injection delete to guarantee you wont kill your motor!

Yes, too much oil without enough throttle applications will cause your spark plug to foul. Unless you’re in hardcore fast racing conditions 50:1 is plenty oiling

Gotta wonder about this OI issue. I’ve got a 1975 Can Am TNT with the original Mikuni mechanical oil pump. To this day it functions perfectly. The only Can Am’s with OI that failed were fed oil too high in viscosity or the anti-slosh foam in the frame oil reserve deteriorated and clogged the supply line filter. The mechanical pumps were robust and dependable. How is it a modern electronic pump (working in sync with the ECU) is such a source of problems? The engineers need to revisit the design and goof-proof it. OI is still a better way to lubricate a 2 stroke.

It seems like ECU pin corrosion is the main issue. Possibly attribute this to a frequency the pump runs on?

It could be that the pin is undersized for the amount of current that the pump is drawing, causing it to get hot. Combine that with a bit of moisture, and the oxidation snowballs. The grease not only keeps the moisture away, but also the oxygen.

23 xtrainer has oil cap with "breathing" valve with spring and rubber membrane... And for some reasons.. From time to time.. This valve get stuck, creates vaccum inside the oil tank as a result no oil comes into engine... greasing ofvthe connectors wont help so much. Bin OI - use the premix.

Hi Aaron and thanks for the vid! Did you have to adjust the carb float at all to get a better mileage? Mine seems to be overflowing excessively... I keep on noticing the skid plate getting wet from gas

Yes i did! Mine was set at 6.5mm at a 56* angle I ended up going to 7.5mm at 56* and its been much better. I will adjust again and try 8mm

Hopefully you don't have any electric problems using dielectric grease I've only had to fix cars that use it I've never used any on anything I like my electric connections dry. 🤙⚡😃👍🏍️

yelp dielectric grease does not conduct electricity, but it's good to seal out moisture. I never used it either.

That's just the flaw on the bike Look At a KTM husky or gas gas. And relocate that pump. I'm sure that would solve the problem.

They are not known for oil injection failures. Try not to spead rumors. There have been a few failures out of tens of thousands of machines and people on the internet are scaring others. Otherwise, great video.

If you had to ask whats the Most common catastrophic failure to be aware of on a Beta, it would be the oil injection on the newer bikes, and main bearing failure on the older bikes. I dont think this video is scaring anyone, more so informing people of some steps they can take to keep their oil injection system working correctly

Wow that oil injection pump should be relocated right under the tank next to the head, A throttle body, At his way too much line, Ate too much distance for just a small pump, I bet that's the failure right there, Is all that oil wine just hanging out everywhere, This thing to be pinched off and kinked

Exactly what I was thinking... this system is used in scooters since forever, super reliable. Just protect the ECU pins for corrosion, check the hoses regurarly and syatem is flawless. Next week I finally brought an 2023 300rr and cant wait to do the chekups and prepare the bike...
