Just to clarify, the fishbowl is what darwin was bought in, when he was just a little fishie. And yes, he did want a bigger tank, and attemped to guilt-trip the family into getting him a bigger tank, but they end up taking it as Darwin wanting to be released. Yes, there's an entire episode on it.

As a Gumball enjoyer who watched every episode several times growing up, there were a handful I hated. Mostly from the new seasons bc they got more extreme and grotesque. I wasn't bothered by stuff on TV but some episodes just made me sick. Searching for them, The Test and The Menu are two. There's one that I legit supressed bc of how vile it was, I remember avoiding it like the plague. The Candidate and The Brain I thought were unfunny. I saw the humor get more forced in season 6 and I'm glad they ended there. Needless, these episodes are not bad at all. Average day for Gumball lol

If you care, here's Darwin's ENTIRE backstory 8 years ago Gumball was 4 years old and a hyper active kid, Nicole and Richard where getting over worked so they get him a pet gold fish who Gumball names Darwin, But Darwin keeps dying, getting flushed, and replaced. eventually The pet store runs out of fish and while Richard is thinking on how to tell this to Gumball, he gets pulled into a red van where a random guy sells him a magic fish A.K.A. the real Darwin. he brings it home and gives it to Gumball who almost instantly notices he's more awake than normal, he goes to tell his mom but first tells Darwin to plat dead. Richard thinks Darwin died again so he goes to flush him, Gumball realizes and runs in before grabbing Darwin out of the toilet and putting him back in his fish bowl, they are about to take a photo of everyone when Darwin Yells "CHEESE" and gets flushed by accident. later Darwin exits through a pipe in the ocean, before attempting to make it back to Elmore on fin. he almost dies, but Gumball's love for Darwin somehow makes Darwin grow lungs, so Darwin attempts to make his way to back Elmore while singing an absolute BANGER, he starts hallucinating about a pile of rocks being Gumball then runs into it, and then once more, Gumballs love for Darwin give's Darwin legs, So Darwin crawls on all fours to get to Elmore, he finds Gumball but get's captured by animal control, but just stands up, grabs the keys, and frees himself and all the animals. Darwin makes his way to Gumball who is right about to get a new goldfish, before running back to Darwin and hugging him, before giving Darwin his classic green shoes. And that is Darwin's backstory.

In all honesty, I don’t think about these episodes too much. They’re not the best, by far. Jamie’s thinking face is honestly my favorite part of The Girlfriend. Who’s your least favorite character, Darzii? For me, as a kid, it was Anais as she was basically the Lisa Simpson of Gumball. She’s the brainiac of the family who is also a wet blanket. I’ve grown out of that hate I had for her as there were moments of her I enjoyed but she not on my Top 5 for favorite characters

First episode is actually kinda gross for someone, I can accept that, but anyway it's goofy and I didn't expect to see it as worst episode, and second one is pretty normal episode of The Amazing World of Gumball. Like, we talking about cartoon where T-rex fighting giant robot or whole school gets sick of happiness or we somehow forced to look on Ms. Simian's gyatt... So Jamie just can't share feelings... Properly? about being confused by darwin: He was bought by richard bc gumball kept killing his other pet fish and all the fish in the store died. Richard bought one from the back of a suspicious van. Gumball became friends witth him bc unlike his other fish, darwin was smart. gumball tells him to play dead while he goes to tell his mum that the fish is smart. Richard almost flushes him down the toilet but gumball stops him in time. then he accidentally flushes himself down the toilet and is lost at sea. He grows lungs from the sheer will of getting back to gumball, and then grew legs also because of that reason. they get reunited at te end of the episode. Gumball gives darwin his green socks (for some reason) and darwin says he'll never takke them off. the end
