I love how Jeannie went a different route than the others with this topic. Everyone was talking about their success in the industry, and you talked about something that was so recent and hard for you to deal with and also something that was so different than the others.

Not sleeping with the completely wrong person for me. I wanted to wait until marriage (and I still do) but 3 years ago I almost slept with a guy and I felt so bad just because of that and if I really did I literally don't know how I'd look at myself after that. Thank God I dodged that bullet it's the best thing that never happened to me 👐💪

Jeannie is so relatable. Even though many people judge you when you walk away from an unhappy, fraudulent or unfulfilling marriage, many of us understand completely. It takes strength and courage to walk away. Don't look back, ignore the gossip and pursue what makes you happy. 😎✌💓

I was in a 5 year horrible relationship from age 15-20. I missed out on graduation trips, University offers from around the world, experiences and friendships. But I am so thankful because it made me SO depressed I moved across the world back to my hometown... 2 days later found the best man I know God sent for me. We've been together since. I look back and I am thankful I did not do a single thing differently.

The best thing that never happened to me was not making the decision to move out and go to a university out of town. I wanted to have a career as a veterinarian and there's a uni that has a vet school and I thought I would have a higher chance of getting in there. My parents encouraged me to stay in town and just do general science because they lowkey knew I would struggle on my own. Well, I discovered a lot of things about myself, one being that I had bad anxiety and would have been miserable on my own. It all worked out well because 5 years later, I got to do my Master's in animal behaviour in the out of town university. And on top of that, I learned to control my anxiety and not let it control me. Now, I'm still working with animals, doing something that I love with little stress!

The best thing that never happened to me - I'm a singer, and ever since I was 11 years old, I wanted to win American Idol. When I was old enough, I auditioned online twice, I never got a callback I was devastated... But now, I think back and I'm grateful it didn't work out for me, because if it had, I wouldn't have the privacy, people and life in general that I hold so close and dear to my heart now. But most of all, had I gone there, had I won, that life would've taken me in another direction and I might've never met my soulmate and had the daughter that I have today. Life is funny, but like the quote in the movie a walk to remember says "God has a bigger plan for me, than I have for myself."

I auditioned for American Idol for season 15. I wanted to go on American idol for years. I'm glad I didn't pass the audition, because I wouldn't have been able to do the same things I may have wanted to do now. God knows best! I'm glad you went to audition, it's so exciting when you audition. I'm glad I did it, because I could say I did it after wanting it for over 10 years versus always wondering what if.

Most people don't remember many of the winners or runners up on AI so you probably would still be able to live a normal life if you did AI. It's not like paparazzi and fans are swarming Ruben Studdard or Trent Harmon. And I literally just had to look up Trent Harmon because I'd never heard of him but I was curious to know who won the last season (before the new reboot season).

Jeannie thank you for sharing your story and being open about your marriage. This applies to people in relationships as well. You hit it right on the nail. When you’re not being the best version of yourself with your partner, then you need to evaluate the relationship. If it can’t be fixed, then love each other enough to release each other to be someone else’s blessing.

Jada Collins-Jackson I have a love hate relationship with them. I like them individually but sometimes I just can't stand when they are fake. I'm still a fan kinda, but the show was way more real when they first started. They need to get better writers know that they are approaching a new season so they can change topics and not repeat the same topic over and over. I have been watching old clips from the beginning and they where so much more real.

Lizstephen I was where you are now at the beginning of the year with 3 kids and a business I run alone. I took the chance and we separated. I took the time to find myself, find a routine for our little ones and ran my business. God is always there, because after we reconciled and realised we still had it in us to make it work...I ended up in hospital, emergency surgery and I nearly didn't make it. He was by my side every single day I was in the hospital and barely slept. He was and is my rock and I honestly wouldn't have recovered so well without him. Sometimes we have to make choices that are right in the moment and God sends us on journeys we need to go on. Because of everything, we both learnt to appreciate and love each other more than we had for the last 11 years. You will both work it out in a way that makes you both happy. Pray on it and push forward. My experience reminded me that there is always a guiding hand. Always....

I would advise you to pray about your marriage because according to the Bible, the Word of God, God does not like divorce to put it lightly. Matthew 19:9 " I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

@Anas-rx1he 6 жыл бұрын
Marriage isn't something you just pray for, it is physically and emotionally draining. Try and be productive and constructive to help this woman than leaving a blanket, fear mongering verse. As for the original commentor, I think it really helps having that honest conversation with your partner and discuss how your 4 year old should not be compromised in any way - financially or emotionally if you were to part ways. I wish you well

The best thing that never happened for me was getting married to my ex. My ex and I were together for almost 5 years. We had our son after the first year. Were engaged at a year and a half. Throughout the year, it took me after I broke it off to realize that there was a reason I never actually started to plan a wedding. But since we broke up, I'm with an amazing guy who shows me that I'm worth everything. He loves my son as if he is his own. He's proven to me every single day that I'm a diamond in the rough.

Can I just say ladies...I'm a practicing Pagan, so there may be things we would disagree with but I love how much you talk about your religion and spirituality. Speaking about religion has become taboo and I just adore how you couldn't care less. I was engaged to my daughter's father. We split for a bit and I asked for anything to open my eyes to what path I needed to be on. A week later he was arrested and has been locked up since. I feel a bit guilty for sort of asking for that in a way....but I also understand his decisions put him there and that path was happily closed. I'm a single parent and hope to be married one day but I'm forever grateful I didn't push that blockade down.

I just need to to state that i absolutely love how in almost every segment they mention God and gives thanks to God. As a Mormon i find it so refreshing and amazing that such successful women and still on team God and didn't lose their way or get into weird things.

The best thing that never happened to me was,, not go full with the adoption of my son. Cause man I love my son my biggest blessing and without him I don't know what I'd do. Now blind due to my diagnosis and he's my biggest help!!

Can’t lie the best thing I never had was a boyfriend. I don’t know for people who get into relationships too early or quickly like Godwilling you live till you’re old so you will be with someone for longer than you would have been by yourself. I’m really enjoying my own space, own time and strengthening my mind oh and loving God even more!
